You know, given the attention CCP lavishes on EVE Online, I'm starting to wonder if they're going to try and incorporate the World of Darkness into the EVE universe...

"World's Leading Character Creation System"??
You can't even make your characters fat in INCARNA. Star Wars Galaxies had the best character creation system I've yet seen. INCARNA is detailed, yes, but it's not the most versatile.
I figure if they design the WODMMO's character creation system to handle any breadth of Nossie, it should be able to handle anything vaguely humanoid. Then when they come out with the Tzimisce, if it can handle any Tzimisce, it can handle anything else!

"According to the document, CCP Games intends to launch EVE Valkyrie and to increase their platform expansion. This means that, over the course of the next 18 months, they intend to continue expanding their platforms"
Oh, is that what it means? I'm glad they cleared that up for us.
In this case, I'm betting "platform" refers to gaming platform, as in the PS3 or PS4 and smartphone apps and stuff. PC should be no problem by now, but given what I've heard about DUST 514, they're going to need to work on how their games transfer to other gaming platforms with regards to lag, connectivity, and interconnectedness with their other games (i.e., EVE Online). If they start working on smartphone apps and whatnot, THEN I'll be looking forward to progress on the WODMMO, as they've specifically mentioned several times that they want to have apps you can use to play (aspects of) the game remotely.

:) have been playing Neverwinter for a few days and I must say i love the No Subs FTP model.

I would return to EVE Online in a heartbeat if it were also FTP, but it doesn't look like the few players left ( 12 accounts each) will allow it :).

Cannot wait for VTM WODMMOG O yeah.

This document is PR for investors.  Chris couldn't be more accurate when he tells us not to read too much into it.  It's not news, it's speculation that happens to be wrong.  What it does tell us is that they are financially secure (we knew) and they are still planning on continuing work on the WoD MMO (which Chris has been consistent on, even when giving no new information).

Please, fasten your seat belts, stop asking "Are we there yet?" and wait for Eve Fanfest where Chris will probably be forced to give another panel he doesn't want to give and doesn't feel the team is ready for.  And then we can wait another half a year until Fall to learn if they will tell us anything new or if... the cycle will repeat and hopefully 2015 will be *the* year.

But getting excited now... again....  so far before the game will even likely see the light of day...  it'll just burn people out, much like Val's current mood.

I can't believe I'm repeating this old line from CCP, but I just saw Lost Boys 3: The Thirst and it's a quote from there, and I'm starting to get it:  "Get this, and get it good, Edgar.  As far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as vampires."

patience is for the old...

as we all know val is pretty much a core developer... and he is just frustrated by the lack of progress...
2015 is also still a rush date... think more 2016... because CCP clearly does not have a very efficient production pipeline...
lucky for you, you guys/gals don't age :)

xcept for some of you thin bloods... but nobody cares about you anyways...
please help me attain a negative reputation

Horror, in CCP though understand that people playing on the world of darkness are actually mortal. At us it is mute eternity ahead to reap while they at last will try and will let out game.

Maybe they're just thinking like George Romero is on the zombie genre, and they're waiting for no one to care about vampires anymore before releasing (or even beginning to hype) their vampire game... lol

This whole "ready when ready" philosophy can't be beneficial to the game. Obviously it's proven with all the dragging feet and setbacks that without a fire being lit under this project it'll never happen. People hardly work at peek efficiency without lofty goals and follow up.

It could simply be a line to the public, but they seem to fall back on it a lot.
