Two other subjects but, heck, we all knew it was vaporware years ago.

I'm going to be honest: I fully expected this game to be released. Far too much money invested for CCP just to axe the project and move on () and while the MMO was kept on the down low, if you knew where to look you could always find some signs of movement behind the curtains. My worst case scenario was WoD being some subpar MMO rushed out of the door and held together by duct tape and empty promises of additional features somewhere down the road, I never even contemplated an scenario where the game would just be cancelled (if I'm not mistaken there were rumours of contractual obligations for CCP to develop a WoD MMO as one of the conditions of the merger, have you guys heard about this?).

Sure, WoD's cancellation didn't take me (or anyone) by surprise, but I still dared to hope!

VampireBill:
The decent thing for them to do now is quickly sell the IP to someone who can and will actually do something good with it, instead of just sitting on it and letting it rot forever (where it won't do them any monetary good, and not having the money is why this ultimately failed), basically like what Microsoft did with FASA and the Battletech universe... (MWO coming much much later as an MP only team deathmatch F2P grind-fest isn't what anyone wanted to happen with that vast and rich IP). Maybe even include some/all of the assets they'd already created...
