Some New House Rules

Waking/Sleeping House Rules posted.  Lemme know what you think of them here.  They can always be tweaked and adjusted.

I'm fine with most of it, what I don't understand is the success scaling: How come less than 5 success means a few turns (barely a minute) and >5 success suddenly boosts you to a full on hour? I get the exceptional success but jumping from barely a minute to 60 minutes with the difference being only 1 success...

Not saying any of it is game-breaking, it just doesn't seem realistic.

In my character's  prologue it worked nicely by creating the dramatic question of 'will he make it to the bathroom '  :cometome: but in the future maybe we could change it to something that scales successes proportionally where the exceptional success reward isn't so much greater than the sum of lesser successes rewards?

Oh and looks like Malavis's prologue is up so

Actually, that part of what I posted is NOT a house rule.  It's straight from the book (p. 262 of the V20 tome).  The only difference is that it says "scene" instead of one hour.  As a scene is a fluid amount of time, usually between 30 mins - 1 hr, I just figured 1 hr would be easier.  But I suppose it *IS* a rather large jump from under a minute to 60 mins.  So I'm gonna change it to 30 mins, which is still a large gap, but 5 successes is counted as an exceptional success, so...  yeah.  It's not perfect, but I think it'll work for what we need.  I don't see much reason to *want* to remain awake for a day, but at least you could have had the shot at spending a Willpower and remaining awake for another half an hour so your character could finish the scene the way he wanted and not have to rush into the bathroom.  So... gonna make that change now.

In the style of the old Vampire game, once your chapters have a clear direction, I'll be putting on a title for the chapter and a relevant quote/lyric for flavor before the first post.
