You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum.

Note that it is impossible for the staff or the owners of this forum to confirm the validity of posts. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of this forum, its staff, its subsidiaries, or this forum's owner. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator or moderator of this forum immediately. The staff and the owner of this forum reserve the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if they determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, please realize that they may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy applies to member profile information as well.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your posted messages. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners of this forum, any related websites to this forum, its staff, and its subsidiaries. The owners of this forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any other related information collected on this service) in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this forum.

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason.  We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft.

After you register and login to this forum, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum owner or staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice. Appropriate sanctions may be applicable.

Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.

Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.

Privacy Policy

We want to keep this is simple as possible. Sadly the Internet is not a simple place, as such we must have a policy in place. Since this area is constantly evolving this policy may be updated as and when is necessary. You shall be informed of such changes and your continued use of our websites shall be deemed as your acceptance of this policy.
PlanetVampire's forum exists to allow the community to come together, discuss and share news about upcoming games, mods, and many other things. In order to participate on this forum and communicate with other people, you must sign up for an account. We therefore must collect your email address and you must choose a username to uniquely identify yourself. You do NOT have to use your real name if you do not wish to do so.
Because this forum includes user-generated content that may not be appropriate for minors you MUST ensure you are of appropriate age. By using this forum you represent and warrant that you are of appropriate age. If you are under 13, do NOT use this forum!
However much information about yourself you wish to share to the public (other than your username) is your choice- your email address and IP addresses you use to connect to our websites will not be disclosed (unless you choose to) except where absolutely necessary. Necessary disclosure includes law enforcement.

Use of data other than for your use of the forum:
From time to time we monitor activity on this forum (though not necessarily the content of posted messages) for the security and safety of our users, as well as to ensure the security and stability of our websites. Where someone/something begins causing a nuisance or disturbance- be it toward a member, the community in general and/or the servers on which our websites reside, we may use personal identifying information such as your IP address(es) or email address(es) to track and block such activity. This information will not be disclosed to third parties except where absolutely necessary. Necessary disclosure includes law enforcement.
We do not run advertisements on any of our websites and to keep things simple: we do not make any money from our websites. We exist simply in order to be a safe place for like-minded people with shared interests. As such your personal information will never be sold to anyone else in any way. If a member of this forum appears to cause you a nuisance or threaten you in any way, please consult an Administrator as soon as possible via PM. We may not otherwise notice such conduct otherwise!

User data deletion requests:
Under the GDPR we have to remove people's personal information on request if the subject is a European Citizen. However any non-identifying information (e.g. forum posts) would NOT be removed. The only exception is if any posts contain your username, email address, or IP address, or postal address. In which case we would run a find-and-replace to anonymise this information but the rest of said posts would remain intact. This would be to preserve the structure of any stories that would be very difficult to understand/follow without the original information (under the GDPR this information is "still required" and "in the public interest to retain" but could no longer be used to personally identify you anyway).
We would then rename your account to "GDPR_Deleted" and then delete your account. That would take away IP addresses and email addresses (or anything else like pictures) you have on your profile. A find-and-replace would then be run through the database to ensure that your username no longer is associated with any of your posts (they would have the name "GDPR_Deleted"). Note that messages you have sent to other members will remain in their inboxes until they delete them (although would appear to be from "GDPR_Deleted" with no option to reply since there would be no account/email address to reply to), since this information is still "required" in the sense that you wouldn't expect a random bailiff to force down your door, demand your phone at gunpoint and then delete text messages you have already received because the sender has demanded to be deleted!
Note that if anyone requests a GDPR deletion and has committed abuse on this forum, the following will happen: IP addresses, usernames and emails associated with said person would be stored offline with a note for us to check against should said subject attempt to create a new account later. This would be to prevent abuse of the GDPR provisions (think about it: if you commit a crime, you cannot request it be removed from your criminal record!). The GDPR does allow for such exemptions like this and justification would be given for this to said subject. We believe this offers the best compromise and going forward this is how we will handle such requests.
