Prop(s) Question
« on: May 14, 2012, 01:37:55 pm »
Hello all.

I've been trying to find a way to spawn the Arcanulum Door Lock prop for some time now and for the life of me I can't figure out what the prop is listed as. Now mind you I'm not new to propping maps and I've been playing the game for ages, in fact I'm one of those players that go all out when it comes to propping a map (even creating new looking items/places with existing ones using particle mover (For example; turning the Order of Hermes into a weapon shop with a forge made out of ammo cans or making a fountain using props and using sapphires for water). My issue is that because I'm now propping a version of Vienna that has the arcanulum door lock piece missing on the ground it just has the open area in which it should be located. I've basically tried spawning all versions of the name; [arcanulumdoorlock, arcanulum_doorlock, arcanulumdoor_lock, arcanulum_door_lock, arcanulumdoor, arcanulumlock, doorlockarcanulum, lockarcanulum, doorarcanulum] to name a few and still to no avail the prop is not located by the game. I even tried looking in the NOT editor and could only find the pieces that players can pick up.

This is of course is what I'm talking about.

I would love it if someone might know what the name is that I can use to spawn this and if you're extra willing to help perhaps even the Arcanulum door itself? I would be forever grateful as this has been driving me crazy for about two or so days now and the prop(s) is(are) needed for the game I'm hosting.

Thanks.

I am *fairly* certain I have seen it spawned when I've messed around with the in-game Storytelling device prop generator, which is what it looks like you're using. *If* I recall correctly, it's listed under quest_somethingsomething... but it's been too long since I've played Redemption, so that's about all the help I can offer.

I'm not actually using a device prop generator, only the props/items and any packs I've added to the game using the original prop manager in Vamp. Any special items I remember I can spawn using console with the normal addthing (insert item like the Praguesoldier which isn't on the list). I tried quest_arcanulumdoorlock and quest_arcanulumdoor and neither worked.

According to the .map file, it is just a template brush.  I do not think there will be a prop for it in game except for the individual pieces that are listed.

Well... guess I'll revert to other things to put there then, kinda sucks to know it was simply a door that was deleted -__-

Try something along the lines of "Arcanum Fragment". For some reason, "Fragment" just popped into my mind, and sounds familiar.

Try Arcanulumblue, arcamulumgreen and arcanulumred

If you look in the not editor theyre under quest items in the darkages.not. Theyre cool looking things but if I remember correctly the icons are missing or somethin so when you pick em up they vanish... I might be wrong.
