My CD wouldn't read so dl'd from GOG and now have no idea where to put Mods some of you have created, any help would be appreciated.

Basically anyone else have a GoG version of game that is running mods?

Thanks.

Unless the mod has an installer  (like Age of Redemption or Emod), you just drop the nob file into your main vampire directory folder that contains vampire.exe.

I don't have any such folder, when I put it in the overall folder of Vamps in the GoG application which is where it is located I don't see a folder you describe.

Can you attach pictures in these forums to show what I have?

If your game runs then you have this folder. It's simply the folder where the game is located. In the case of the GOG version, it's called "Vampire the Masquerade-Redemption", it's the folder were your game runs from, usually found in your program files.  Drop the NOB files into that folder and they're installed.

Done that, I don't see anything new when I open Lan game or create character. Thanks for help, not sure if I'm supposed to have anything BESIDES the mods and skins to use them?

Then your mods are likely installed, you just need to spawn the items using the ST console. Not all skins are playable characters, most aren't actually.

But where are the other areas/maps. I only have the standard ones in multiplayer?

Sounds like you aren't putting the files in the right place.

Here is a screenshot of my current VtM:R folder, including my own packs of skins/maps from the two packs I uploaded.

Again note there is an upper limit of Nob files, so if you have more than.. 50 I think, they'll stop showing up.

Your pic helped, i had placed whole folders instead of each individual .nob.

Thanks a ton everyone.

One more thing, how do I link mods, create a chain from one to the other? Say I start with house in woods, then have it transition to another area?

Thats called creating a HUB. You have have certain editing tools which creates a Hub file. The hub file is a list of exits connecting to other exits. You have to figure out which exit is what name then connect it all together. After you need to repack the individual maps with the hub, else it won't run correctly if someone just downloads the hub without the map files. The CotN map is an example of a Hub. Its a pain in the ass and I don't remember exactly what programs you need anymore.

The SDK will allow you to modify existing map files to create hubs as described above.  It's available in our site's Downloads section.
