Really nice tutorial, but I was wondering if there could be also alternatives to convert them without having too much issues (like manually fixing the texture alignment).
Usually when I was porting the Bloodlines maps for UDK test demo, I used a Maya plugin from Valve to do so. It worked quite flawlessly but the biggest issue I had was that I had to export the maps in multiple parts else it'd end up as a massive mesh with only one UV map (mostly overlapping each part on a 1-1 plane).
I was wondering if there is any way to export any scene to .map format from say 3DS Max? However my approach would require far more work regarding contents but I would still like to tinker around and see what results it might bring.
