Well, I'm getting VtM:R tomorrow, I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips, hints, or anything else to help out a new Vampire.  Thanks in advance.

 May your strength grow everstronger,

If you're buying it new, it will probably come with the 1.1 patch, but if it doesn't, download it from planetvampire.com
Without the patch, you will not be able to play in (most) online games, nor will you be able to use the save-anywhere feature in single player.
also, once you're in the game, be sure to keep an eye on your characters' humanity levels.  if they drop to zero, you will have to load from an earlier save.

  •                 I have some great advice for you. There are some things I learned on my own when I first got the game. I was a young vampire once too!!

Always keep weapons with u at all times

Avoid the knights of St.John at all times as a vampire

dont feed of villagers too much they yell and scream when being bitten

avoid sunlight and holy H20(I found that out the hard way)

When fighting a vampire boss always use a wooden stake see they paralize the vamp so you can take off their head really quickly or feed of them if you choose.

All of us were young vampires once.... I just so happened to 'mature' too fast for myself. so now if there is any questions regarding ANY secrets/boss help/weapon questions, just ask.

Max out Blood Healing as soon as possible for all your vampires.

Get your strength to 55 so you can use all armors and weapons.

Your dexterity is more important than strength. It determines how accurate your aim with both melee and ranged weapons is. A dex of 80 is great, 90 is sufficient for the entire game. The ankairn sword raises your dexterity by +10, so you would have 100. A high dexterity gives you critical hits, which means you can kill opponents in one hit (their head flies off their body--instant death).

Prison of Ice is the best discipline in the game, in my opinion. You will find a book in the House de Hexe called "Blood Rituals" with this power. You will need 35 in both wits and intelligence to use it. Max it out.

Speaking of which, have Christof read ALL books you find, and no one else.

Wits lowers your frenzy. The higher your wits, the slower you frenzy. But it isn't vital.

Go to www.gamefaqs.com and look up this game. There is only one document there, but it is a great help.

Try not to spend your money too quickly.  You find pretty nice weapons and armor lying around, and there is some very expensive magic jewelery that you cannot find.  You can only buy it and unlike the other items, you can take it with you (I don't want to say more it would be a spoiler).

My walkthrough is filled with LOTS of typoes.

It's not too bad.  And your guide has less typos than Bloodlines...

Also where you mean to say "collapse" you say "claps".

It's a great guide, though I never knew you could use "Awaken" to revive enemies and kill them again for XP. Now, last night I got obsessed with this and today I feel guilty because I know it has to be cheating somehow. I may start over and refrain from doing that. At least now I know to raise my faith to 55 :-D

Also, in your guide, wherever you should say "since", you say "sense". Heh-heh... hey, your discipline chart shows durations but not damage. Are you gonna add that later? For instance, what exactly does Potence and Fortitude do? I mean, I know what it says they do, but what exactly... like, does Potence add 5 points of damage per dot or something? And what about the damaging disciplines, like fire ball?

Activision.com has a much better manuel then the one that comes on the disc.  Just log on to activision.com go to support, search redemption, and click on the topic for a manual.

Yeah, I believe it was me, as I just started playing this game again. Wasn't paying attention to the post date...

So we're a little late giving the guy advice...

This game needs to be reborn. Let's form a large unruly mob and demand Activision fund someone to develop a re-make. Sorry I'm smoking... something. Bye.
