Is it normal for Christof to be in frenzy for a long time?

Currently playing Redemption with the AOR mod and I'm confused as to why Christof gains frenzy so quickly in combat and this frenzy only goes down occasionally which feels so random to me. When in Frenzy, it seems like he won't get out of it so I just load a past save. There are some points where I just removed him entirely cause he is a pain to deal with. It only happens to him though, and the other characters lose frenzy at a normal rate. I have to say that in the 4 hours I've played only Christof has ever been in frenzy.
Is this normal, a bug, or a corrupted save?
Is there a way to stop it, or is there any cheat so I can stop him from being frenzied?
