LaCroix is greedy and stupid, he deserves to die, its just Kindred natural selection. Any sympathy I could have for him is ruined by his obvious almost childish obsession with the Sarcoughous and his indirect attempt to murderer both you and Nines then blaming you for the death of Nines (though he wasen't dead all along). Ming is a bitch but she summed LaCroix up right.

Hi,

I am trying to play Night at the Library, but I can't get into the coffee shop, and there is no note in the smoke shop.

Does anyone have any advice?
try using an older save file and try again maybe that helps

To go to the library, you need to get the email from Beckett first.

I got the email and the quest started.

Low humanity dialogue options and the whole Humanity system are utter [censored], pardon my french. Whoever, uh, came up with that had mistaken moral values for intellectual. Even human Dungeon Masters and Storytellers have a hard time measuring (un)life philosophy in numbers, not to say about computers.
If I'd been a developer, I'd removed Humanity system altogether and left the character interpretation up to the player completely.

As a crude example, more animalistic/bestial (let's say Humanity 4) character could possess a sharper sense of self-preservation and won't open it.
On the other hand, heartless/calculating character, should he paid enough attention through the story, very likely will get an idea, thus resist the urge to open it.

Another low point is "prince" LaCroix (in both senses), I second that. Most of my characters hated, loathed and despised him in all possible fashions. Still, some of them would have appreciated the option to deny the fate and get him out of the game where the winner is rewarded with the Final Death.

First time played as war profiteer female Ventrue (missed the "I worked in the Bush administration" reply when met Venus), and I say no one could possibly hate that prince as thorougfully as another Ventrue with a taste in politics. As the story progressed, she realised that everything she hates LaCroix for applies to herself as well. They both are being played, both heading to the same final destination. The prince isn't nearly as malicious as real chessmasters, just an unfortunate soul trapped in Kindred intrigue. What she wanted the most is to spoil the party, make him understand, leave together ASAP. LaCroix didn't listen and met his ultimate fate. She left the city alone.

What I missed the most is the tragic side of LaCroix. Even unsuccessful attempts to convince him to leave might been awesome, barring alternatinve "Loners ending" (leaving LA with LaCroix).

Bloodlines Modding / Re: New mod release this month

I keep updating the mod... If you this quests are too easy, and enemies teddy, wait to enter inside of Iterate Studios, and face the men in black, (if you not are familiar with world of darkness mage, the technomages...) Here a little of a matrix like combat... I'm already adjusting the difficult, they're pretty hard...

With offuscate, celery and domination, you can do any stealth quest easy, solve any dialog and win all the combats...

New name for the game. "Vampire, the munchkin"

I agree on Protean. The "bunny hop" moving looks ridiculous, the attacs are way too slow and it seems the left hand attack is way off target.

If I were to select my set of disciplines I would probably take Celerity, Obfuscate and Presence. As a 4th maybe Fortitude or Dominate/Dementation.

You are probably too early. Have you been to the junkyard yet?

Hi, Yes I've been to junkyard.

And you have met Gary?

Yes, I've also got  the sarcophagus back.
