last bump for the Asylum for a while. I'm going to work on another one of the clubs next, not sure which at the moment.

Recolored the tables purple instead of red.
A little more art behind the DJ.
A little more blinky lights.

here's the vid:

also I changed the intro screen to have skulls and bones and stuff falling, pardon the horrible frame rate:

Bloodlines Modding / Re: Clan Quest Mod

I've just checked the Christopher dialog in cqm. All the usual conditions are there. Maybe your persuasion isn't high enough.
And you don't get the poster quest because burgermeister had to use the item slots from those things to make quest items for the clan specific quests. In bloodliens modding you can't create new items, just redefine existing ones.

Hello! I've recently installed Clan Quest Mod and have been enjoying it quite a bit, however, at the Giovanni level, I ran into a problem with the Dirty Dishes quest. The dialogue option that would allow me to get Christopher to open up (something like "you look troubled") is nowhere to be found. Is there a pre-requisite to make the line available? I've acquired the invitation of the right gender to get in. I'd also like to add I haven't gotten Gary's missions at all. Is it because I selected the "posters" option when installing?
Thanks in advance!

Go to Bioware theads on RPG Codex to see how stupid your post is. As for me personally, I haven't played any Bioware games besides Baldur's Gate (mediocre), Baldur's Gate 2 (mediocre/bad) and Neverwinter Nights 1 (terrible). I wouldn't touch their newer games even with a stick.

Good grief. This amount of drama -- or should I say autistic screeching -- over a minor addition to a game that already ticks all the other boxes for "morally questionable content", as far as other sexual encounters go, never mind the excessive violence and other mature themes. Don't tire yourselves out, you guys.

I honestly didn't expect the WOD community, of all places, to be so tight-arsed (no pun intended, of course) about something like this, but I suppose VTMB with its cult status must have amassed quite the boys' club over the years -- as video games do...

I for one thank you, Wesp! You brought us yet another step closer to the L.A. that Troika wanted to depict, certainly -- which, if you actually think about it for a second longer than it takes you to uninstall the game and rush to the doctor for gay cooties, can never fairly be construed as a political bid, when really, if anything, it is merely a truer reflection of the depravity of the setting.

WOD is all about the uncomfortable aspects of human existence, magnified under the lens of a questionable unlife. I don't understand how you can find yourself freely politicizing the existence of LGBT people in an imaginary world, while giving things like the snuff film sub-plot no such hard time, when at the end of the day, they could be seen as equally degenerate subjects to depict.

If you're gonna be mad, at least be consistent about it, is what I'm saying. In a context so heavily laden with dubious ideas to explore, you really don't get to pick and choose what to get offended by, without looking like an idiot anyway.

Thirteen years wow that's amazing. I agree with your sentiments Ian, I'm glad for everyone who has kept the game alive or should I say undead  :vampwink: for this long.

Bloodlines Games General Discussion / VTM Bloodlines' 13th Anniversary
« Last post by IanW on November 16, 2017, 08:31:10 AM »
Thirteen years ago today, on November 16th, 2004, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was first released to the public.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for helping to keep it alive during those 13 years. Everyone who contributed to Wesp5's unofficial patch, which keeps the game viable over a decade past release. Everyone who created a mod, which helps keep the game fresh for even long-time players. All of you who play the game and keep the discussion going. All of you who stream the game and gather more followers for our incredible community.

Vampire: The Masquerade had itself just turned 13 when Bloodlines was released. Now Bloodlines itself is the same age, having existed for half the lifetime of the property.

Thank you all for doing what you do, and I hope our weird little community can continue for years to come.

I'd post here, it's not worth making separate topic.

It'd be quite fun if the Holy Stake one can find on Santa Monica beach could be used to paralyze a hostile vampire. He would be easy to finish off, in the incapacitate state.

Wrong game. You want the Bloodlines forums. ;) This forum's for VTM: Redemption. Christof, the PC of Redemption, travels through Prague, Vienna, London, and New York. LA and Santa Monica don't make any appearances.

Yeah, it's rather peaceful here. Just check out what the UP 9.9 gay update created on the RPGCodex board :)!
I may not be a supporter of LGBT politically, but my guess is that most of those players have played the big name RPGs like Dragon Age or Mass Effect, which, although both are good, often shoves homosexual characters in your face. DAI was kind of notorious for that. I don't see why they would complain about you adding the homosexuality history, and histories being as small an aspect of a game as it is, when they're silent toward what BioWare usually puts in their games.

I suppose it's easier to harp on someone when they're only one lone person and not under the cover of a corporation.

recolored two of the identical-twin NPCs, the raver girl and the guy in black leather/PVC with the mask.
gave the twins more of a tanned look, changed their clothing a tiny bit.
also added a little more art behind the DJ. I think it still needs more...
