We wanted to have a special place, where your ideas for Project Vaulderie could be posted. We want you, the community, to have your ideas involved: what would you include into the project?

We want to make sure that this is a community game, to have the community involved within this project, not just with ideas, but with more than that. We're working on various ways to deliver this option and open as many as possible as time goes.

We have our ears open for any and all ideas, and we believe the community has the power to shape it, but such suggestions as "I have such and such idea for the game" should be followed up by, "Here's why I think it would be a good addition". Why certain elements should be put into place? These are the few important questions to keep in mind when considering an idea.

Hopefully with the community, we can create the best possible experience that the Vampire the Masquerade community truly deserves.

My first suggestion is to get rid of all the child boards! Maybe keep the external homepage and FAQ, but this board and the album board should better be pinned threads on the normal board. Otherwise they are just more clicks for nothing and also with the mechanism of board high-lighting right now, you never know if something new has been posted on the main board because it lights up when a child board has something new too. Another tab wasted!

Thank you for the link, I'll be sure to peruse the doc to see whats what. MP is something we are really excited about, and a lot of thought has gone into how we can make the MP game fun, more than just a simple death match. Cooperative play is something we are considering, but Coop is one of the hardest game types to design for when the original game was not designed with coop in mind. One thing we want to incorporate is a social setting where players can RP and a game master can govern. One of my favorite tool sets for any video game is neverwinter nights tool set and Dungeon Master system. People should have that kind of access and control to MP experiences. At the very least, if coop proves to change the core game too much that it either easily breaks, OR just isn't fun, we will still have all sorts of MP tools and game mode control. If you want to just shoot out, go right ahead, if you want to RP, then you can do that too.

1) A little think that I would like to see is the variety of uses that the obfuscate discipline has in the PnP ported tu the game, particularly the ability to temporary conceal your appearance, allowing you to walk unnoticd to the streets and speak to characters normally, at the cost of blood points, of course.

2) Also, it would be neat if new stats are added to the character sheet. For example: a Generation stat that would only be improvable at character creation, on a willpower and Röttschreck system, for when in contact with fire and possibly gunfire (more fun for the end of the Grout quest!). In general, ability for modders to ad custom stats would be nice.

3) A more far-fetched one, on the balance side of things: make the character creation more like the one in the PnP, with more points at creation, and less improvements along the game. It would increase the feeling of a personal character, reduce the pression for min/maxing (since you will be stuck with the same stats for part of the early game, you will be less inclined to put all your physical points in strenght, all your mental on wits, and so on), and make the evolution more realistic -if we maintain the PnP interpretation of the dots as 1: poor. 2: average, 3: good, 4 excelent, 5: the best in the city [sic]

4) Removing the hardcoded limit on histories and clans would be cool, at would be the implementation of the clans added by the bloodlines mod. Also, a merit/flaw system replacing histories would be a cool touch. (Reintroducing by the window the min/maxing you have expelled by the door LoL).

There are indeed unused stats mentioned in the game files. These are Encumbrance, willpower, Generation and blood pools. Also Animal Ken, Athletics and Occult abilities and Jumping, Throwing and Animal Friendship feats.

As you already recognized, this would unbalance the game probably beyond repair...
