If I may...

Odds are the EVE community management team has nothing to do with this. Your efforts are better spent elsewhere.

Can guarantee CCP will never see anything you post to the White Wolf FB page. While the page is owned by CCP, day-to-day operations are managed by the licensees: Onyx Path Publishing (specifically, me), By Night Studios, and our partner at DriveThruRPG.

We're not able to respond to any CCP-related queries because none of us work for them. We've been spending a lot of time trying to foster a positive environment on that page, and sending people there to complain is undoing that.

Please consider removing the WW page from your list of "targets."

Thank you.

I'm very sorry about that, I have edited Signothorn's original posting to make this clear. We certainly don't want to score an own goal pestering people who are not in a position to contact CCP, especially those who continue to evolve the White Wolf product line. *offers a virtual handshake*.

Okay. We took those links off of the front page as that makes sense in the long haul. Has anyone gone over to whitewolf fb page? Seems that most people are actually focusing on the ccp fb page so that's a relief.

We had a number of people posting the copy/paste statement as comments in unrelated posts, which we've hidden for being off-topic. There are also a half-dozen posts people have made to the page, which we've let be but will not be engaging with.

Thank you both for your swift action; we appreciate it.

What a shame.  Like throw a fish on the floor and keeping the water bowl perched on a barrel it can't get to shame.  If they were actually making a VtM game that would be something, but denying breath of life over an IP that is in no way threatened by a port of a previous game is just puppy kicking cold.

Also, not sure if Lawyers can' go about this under legal counsel on their own (nor would I pay for one to do this without my knowing).
If you put your head to a pipe, you can always hear ringing.  But whether it's the pipe or your head that's ringing is the question.

So, what will become of the Project Vaulderie General Discussion sub-forum? Now that it serves no purpose.

The WoD MMO General Discussion subforum is still around, even if the MMO was canceled almost 8 months ago, so I guess Vaulderie will still be on PV for a while. Unless CCP decides to do something about that as well.

It will just be moved down the page to the other suspended projects. Man, there are too many there already :(!

For historical reasons we don't remove old subforums, we archive them. The historical posts from the IGN days on Forum Planet were imported here against all odds, we never let anything get deleted if possible! Anyway, yes, when the news dies down this subforum will be marked as suspended but will still allow discussions.

Sad but oh well.

This remake would have probably taken years and years to finish anyway.

Maybe it would have taken a few years, but multiplayer might have been finished earlier.
Now we'll never know anyway ...

I agree with that. Look at me still patching the original game after ten years ;)!

Atrblizzard already released a multiplayer version of Bloodlines using the Source engine, but there wasn't much interest in that. I'm not at all into multiplayer myself, still maybe after the cancellation of the MMO it's time to revive this version and create some unique content. As far as I remember it needed all Bloodlines assets and thus was never attacked by CCP, because it appeared more as an expansion to the original.

Stephen would have been returned to work on this project once he was done with his current work while we had a new coder introduced who'd help speeding up the process overall and would leave me more time finishing all the levels.

The models wouldn't have worked from the original game without us shipping them, while the textures and sounds were convertible, which would mean we would need to ship the maps and models regardless. The only workaround for this was to use delta patching that would check each file and patch them to the new version.

Is this about the Source or Unity version? Because my patch already includes almost all maps because fixes were made pretty anywhere, so that doesn't seem to bother anyone. Sound and textures are much bigger in size though and a valid reason for needing the original Bloodlines installed!

There was another update on the Project Vaulderie home: http://www.projectvaulderie.com/the-untold-story/

I hope this doesn't mean that the Antitribu mod ends up in nirvana after PV has been cancelled. Come on, get this beast out of the door and fix the issues later! That's the way everything is done with Bloodlines :).

Couldn't you guys have made new maps and models instead? Overhaul the graphics rather than doing a strict port?
Good night, forum. Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning.

There are some mods for Bloodlines that try to increase the texture resolution or completely replace the textures where needed. As for maps, I think most people just dont like Hammer, it's pretty difficult to use and it crashes a lot. Lets hope Valve won't forget about Source and that the new Hammer will be compatible with this game.
