Hey There, I've got some questions.
« on: July 23, 2017, 08:19:27 pm »
Well before I ask.. Let me introduce myself.
My name's Gabby (I am new here on the forums).I've been into the Vampire business since short and I love it! (You can say that I am still pretty new to this.)

I used to play Bloodlines back when I was still a lil one but I never knew what in the hell was going on.
And a year ago I replayed it and didn't let it go since, only I had some questions.

I love Roleplaying, I bet alot of you guys do, I still roleplay on a multiplayer version of "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" And the server is called "Vampires, Werewolves and Humans Roleplay", I love RPing there.. So I have a couple of questions.

- Is there any other Vampire / Werewolf lore based Roleplay sites / games out there?
- Is there any good vampire based books to read?
- I have heard there will be a new "Vampire The Masquerade" game, is it true?

Soon I will be starting up a Dark Ages chronicle online.  I play with Vampire:  the Masquerade - Redemption.  Though  an old game, it still holds up .  What makes it great is the Storyteller function which allows for possession of all NPCs, (and PCs, if necessary).  This is essential for a true roleplay experience, in my opinion.  I use Tunngle to play online now.  Steam does not support the multiplayer version of Redemption.

I'm looking for new players.  If you love roleplaying and the World of Darkness, you will love this.  If you're interested in joining my chronicle, let me know.

VTMR is great but the chat system doesn't really hold up , Storyteller mode needs a remake with a modern chat system or perhaps  need to build some kind of stay-on-top chat system overlay for Windows that specializes in RPGs (that would also solve Roll20's lacking chat system).

Text-chat still > Voice-chat in RPGs for me.

Main features missing :
-Ability to open new chat windows and channels as required
-Ability to resize and move chat windows
-Ability to make chat windows opaque/transparent.

I agree, RPG and voice just doesn't feel right... Hard to be in character.

As regards you're second question, though it has nothing to do with the world created by White wolf, upon which VTMB is based,  I am very fond of Poppy Z. Brite's "Lost Souls".
