Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. What I've meant with that "qualifying" is that I've got G2 installed, so technically it's "active" so to speak.

As for KOTORs Moonmad - the first one is easily recommendable, while the second one, well, gathered good reviews - that's pretty much it. You'd be better off to wait a few months at least, until the community "patch" gets released (it's sort of an expansion you could say, which adds the content removed from the game by developers, making the game nonsensical in a few spots).

To add to my "current" titles: I've tried giving Deus Ex 2 a chance again, but it's just sooo really bad. :shudders:

Almost every game I've ever played is still installed on my cpu. Most of them I haven't touched in years though.

Hmm, Morrowind's pretty popular.  I gave up out of intimidation for the size of the world, but I might have to re-install and see what's up.  You can make your char a vampire?  Interesting...

I gotta say, I liked the gameplay of KOTOR II, especially the custamizability of the armor/weapons/lightsaber (although my feelings on turn-based combat are documented) but the storyline had quite a few loose ends I didn't like.

To Offkorn and Lancea:  You don't have to be hardcore about the rules, I just wanted to start a thread to see who was playing what and to discuss the merits of certain games.  Even if you're just planning on playing one in the near future.

You can make a vampire in Morrowind but it's not all that fun without mods. People hate you, your Elders see you as a mistake and a bastard and all you have is your vast powers. You can make a deal with Molag Bal, a Daedra lord to become human (or whatever race you play. I prefer Dunmer) again.

Try the Vampire Embrace mod. Even though I'm new to it I have found it to be a reviving spark to my gameplay.

Agreed. I'm still on Taris in the upper city and I like it enough to bring my whole rig to the ambulance station for the day. I don't know why I didn't buy it when it came out.

Will do. Thanks for the advice. I didn't get the second one this time around - I have a habit of trying the games I buy as soon as I get them, then enjoy the sequel a bit better and forget about playing the first one through first so I miss some of the story until I've finished the sequel (I finished BG2 and expansion before I got around to BG1 and expansion).

I agree with this also. Coffee wars?!?!?! I know a developer that wasn't getting much sleep.

Do you have an extra pillow there, mate?

Anyway, I've made my views on DX2 quite clear in rant that should be around in this forum somewhere.

I'd just like to add that, looking back, I'd say I'd be feeling better today if I avoided DX2.

As for what I'm playing at the moment, my time is currently split between Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars, Disciples II - Dark Prophecy, and Geneforge. Geneforge is an old-style RPG made by Spiderweb Software, a small Shareware firm that does what it does quite well indeed. What they make is, in many ways, better than what I say today on the market. Sure, they lack sound and graphics, but who really cares about that, eh? wink

 Doom III: Resurrection of Evil
Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich (My second run through the game)
Half-Life 2 (I still have to find the compulsion to actually finish this one)
Need for Speed Underground II (A mainstay on my HDD whenever I don't feel finishing any game)
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (Having fun with this title as much as SoT, I'm halfway through and still have to encounter any of the bugs said to be plaguing this title)
 Sid Meier's Pirates! (Arrr!!!)
 Star Wars Republic Commando
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (Playing as a Ventrue)

 PS2:
Tekken 5 (Best with: Feng, Raven & Bryan)
          (Intermediate with: Steve)
(The only title on the PS2 that I need, I have always been a hardcore Tekken fanboy since T3)

I rarely play anything else, and if I do it`s a custom race with the Dunmer skins. (apart from a white skinned one I have at the moment). The vamp mods are good. Have you tried the Underground by Qarl? Heard it`s good.

 No Underground. Is it good?
I have been searching for good mods for a while.
So far I have stacked up on Vampire Embrace and the Better Bodies thingy. Maybe PM me a list?

I beta-tested the Underground mod for Qarl, and I can honestly say it is well worth the effort of downloading. It's very scripting-intensive, and can be a bit twitchy if you start swapping and changing mods while it's active, but Qarl has done things with the scripts I didn't think were possible. It's based around vampires, but you don't have to be a vampire to play it (I was the only beta-tester who played it through as a vampire), and you get a vampire companion of the opposite sex. This companion will offer you the embrace once they know you well enough, making it the easiest way to get vampirism in Morrowind!

I've played the game for years, and now play almost exclusively as a vampire. I often end up beta-testing vamp mods for people!

Just started it myself. It`s good! I use everything Qarl has done, I just love the work, very detailed.
(On a side note, I just downloaded a Raziel mod, it will go well the Soul Reaver mod I`ve got. If I could just find Kain now.)

Bah. What's the use of posting if you can't argue around in circles about semantics? :]

Anyhoo, as for Disciples II - get the "Rise of the Elves" expansion. Cheap as dirt (or maybe even cheaper, dirt doesn't come cheaply these days, vide Neverwinter Nights)and as far as I know the only good addition to the "II" series. Man, the hours I've burned on this one...

Morrowind, eh? I've really tried to like that one, but the generic-feel to everything just bugs the hell outta me. Still, people playing it after all this time just goes to proove how much a SDK can do for a game... (casts a grim sideways glance at Bloodlines-box, tsks and shakes head).

 peace

ps. Anybody tried "Second Sight" yet? I've been told it's quite good, thinking about trying that one when I have some time)
