Vampyr - PC
« on: July 21, 2019, 06:58:53 am »
This game was mentioned in the Bloodlines area (I think) and I got around to buying it but the forum on GoG and the developer forum are, well, rather dead :).   I was hoping that one of the folks who have played it might help with a pair of issues:  1.  how does one save?  I know the auto save thing but none of the "F" keys seem to do it.  The autosave only uses the first slot.  That second slot has to be there for a reason and the auto save noway saves often enough.  I mean, if I got to go, I've got to go - not keep playing until the game decides to save.  2.  I guess I'm still in the tutorial but, outside the Pembroke hospital, I ran into Cox.  It appears the only option is to mesmerize him but it gives an option later (and I've researched this on the web quite a bit) to release him.  "F" to bite, and an up-bracket to release.  Problem is, there's no up-bracket on a normal keyboard.  I've tried every single key and none released him.  How is this done?  Merci, danka, and all of that.

EDIT:  2.  I missed one whopping large key.  The space bar does the trick.  Still  wondering about 1., though - those (actually 2)   open save slots have to be there for a reason.

Tempted to load up Vampyr. Seems appropriate to play a game about a mass pandemic right about now.
