You mean the multiverse edition?
What does ctually this have better than the UAP? Except for very few things I hadn't see anything special....

Well, personally for me it's more convenient cause it's totally russificated.

Haha ok then for you is better

But looking at the features I still think it offers little to nothing (despite all the hype)....

▪ Multilanguage (russian and english, nothing particular)
▪ Original cut-out animation was integrated (pratically the Extra Animations mod)
▪ New items based on the restored graphics have been created (maybe this is new, but sounds like the restored content of the UAP but I might be mistaken)
▪ The properties of a number of objects and schemes for their assembly have been refined (this might be nice, but doesn't sound exceptional)
▪ Locations from Mapper's Mod integrated (I saw some screenshots, basically the ingame objects and lightning effects are better located, but still not that exceptional. An improved version is announced for the Sir's Expectation Modpack which has yet to be released, this makes me curious about this modpack....)
▪ High-quality maps of locations were integrated (pratically the HQ Townmaps mod)
▪ Some background soundtracks were replaced (restored ambient sounds, still the nice but uninteresting issue)
▪ Original lossless music was integrated (another mod already existing, the HQ Soundtrack....)
▪ Partially modified gameplay (more little to nothing)
▪ Arcanum High Resolution Patch was updated and integrated (possibly just updated to the latest version of the original patch)
▪ Selection of the best modifications and patches was performed (no idea on what they picked from the UAP and the couple of russian own unofficial patches)
▪ Configurator and launcher were created for easy compatibility settings with Windows 8 to 10 (not bad, but it's a feature external to the game)
▪ Official modules by Troika Games are integrated (as it says)
▪ Designed bonus section (a really nice collection of artworks and similar stuff)

Dude, why not just play it and see everything for yourself? :) Just don't forget to install resolution patch before you start.

Yeah, I guess.  Not every game needs to have a dating Sim aspect to it I suppose.  lol  I guess I'm just spoiled by the newer games that are more inclusive these days.

Just for the records, Tim Cain (now openly gay and married) in The Temple Of Elemental Evil he added, other than the 20 etero NPC to marry, a gay one (a pirate called Bertram if I remember correctly).

QUICK LIST OF MODS (AND INSTALLING ORDER)
    - the official Patch (already included in some digital released, I think GOG too)
    - (optional) official modules (in the vanilla game there are only Arcanum itself and Vormantown):
    Buried Secrets
    Deathmatch
Dusty Dunes (fan patch is necessary)
    Hellgate
    Time
    Woodmir Race
the long lost Lost Dungeon Of Souls (so rare even the community didn't know until many years later)
Dungeon Crawl (a demonstration small module for showing the functionalities of the editor tool)
    - Unofficial Arcanum Parch (UAP) which includes:
    Main Data (the patch itself)
Townmap Fixes (optional since there is also a separate HQ Townmaps Pack)
Extra Content (restored content and additional tweaks)
Original Bedokaan Model (not suggested, a beta version of portrait and model of the lizardmen)
    - (optional) Extra Animations Pack (more restored beta material)
    - (recommended) High Resolution patch
    - (not essential) High Quality Townmaps and Soundtrack mods

there are a couple of big conversion mods, both unfinished but still full of great stuff, Arcanum: Work In Progress (WIP) and CAR-Arcanum (AKA Hard-Arcanum AKA Polished CAR Arcanum)

I actually do have a GOG copy of The Temple of Elemental Evil.  I have wanted to play it but I have never been able to truly enjoy Turn Based combat games.  Maybe one of these days I can make myself get passed that.  I know that this game is considered the most faithful implementation of D&D rules in a video game.  Which is fine and good I suppose, but I am not a stickler about needing to stick to those rules.  I just like the settings and the lore.  I like how in the Baldur's Gate games and the Neverwinter Nights games, all that dice rolling and rule stuff is largely behind the scenes unless you actually WANT to see it.  I prefer my games to be more real time.

Thanks for the mod list!  I will check all of that out.

I'd play it!  And it would be awesome if it was moddable.

Would be moddable for sure since Skyrim is moddable.

I've read that Enderal is fairly difficult to mod compared to Skyrim itself.  Is that incorrect information?

Tell me a bit about it, what do you love about it?  What is the basic story outline, w/out too many spoilers?

It's a very succint description the one that Happydeathclaw mentioned.

To me... it's the one game that took my RPG cherry. So a lot of my bias has to be considered from that point of view. It was with Arcanum that I understood what RPG's really were about and I don't think I will ever let go.

That was Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn for me, so I understand the love you have for Arcanum.

Gotta love those old isometric 2D handpainted video games, eh?

I know that ppl encounter issues when they try to mod Enderal with mods for Skyrim, way not all of them are working. You can mod it with something very simple like hair/face/body/clothes/armor/weapons/food/drinks and such with no problems, but if it's something global like climate, weather, temperature, thirst, hunger, sleep, ect it needs to be made from the very beginning for the particulary Enderal world cells.

I still return to Baldur's Gate and Amn now and again and I still enjoy it.  Different mod combos give me some different experiences as well, and add to that the enhanced edition characters.  Baldur's Gate II first introduced me to the whole concept of mods in the first place and because of it, kind of spoiled me.

See, its the body and clothing mods that I have read some people have had issues with.  I suppose I better find out for myself.  I DO have a copy of Enderal.

Sometimes just installing someting isn't enough and it needs some editing to work properly, this thing usually helps more than perfect:   https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49015
