So now I'm curious what other 'races' we're going to meet?

Well Vampires are first on the list which isn't really too surprising and Werewolves are next on the list. They don't seem to have fully decided yet on the full list at this moment in time.

While not actually races (well as long as the person in charge has a brain that is) most likely gonna be witches/wizards/mages or whatever you wanna all them and Hunters/Slayers.

I think I'm most interested in playing as a Hunter/Slayer at this stage.

*Bares his fangs* What did you say? Hunters are my favourite kind of snack.

I actually wish to try all the different options if only for a bit. Your allowed more than one character. One thing I can't understand is why people who out right hate Vampires and/or other Supernatural creatures would want into a MMO designed specifically around them. I actually posted a suggestion about how Hunters could be used thats slightly different than what you might expected, Hunters not automatically against anyone and some that even act like Bounty hunters taking contracts from anyone no matter what they are.

*Also bares fangs*Sometimes ThinBlood Malks have issues they want to work out on video games okay!

I'd want to play all roles eventually too but taking an investigator/hunter type role might be the first thing I try.
It's the internet, people turn up specifically because they dislike a thing, it's why you get those crap click bate adds about bursting boils and shit.
Mercenary, mentality hunters sounds fun.
Actually I wonder if there is a Dhampir/ThinBlood/Revenants equivalent in the game?

Well surely in other contexts they would ban them rather them giving them a role?
I think opening up various options for Hunters would the best way to do it and would allow for more player choice in the end. I actually like a Bounty hunter style option, it would properly get you a fair bit of money and would allow others to get rid of people or at least harm or put off people without getting there hands dirty.
I don't know about Dhampir, Thin Bloods and Revenants, I'm also assuming your meaning Revenants in a VtM context since the traditional meaning of Revenant is completely different. They seem somewhat unlikely to me but you never noted. Incidentally never been keen on the idea of Vampire's been able to have children nor the idea of VtM Revenants. Thin Bloods on the other hand are a sign of the dissipation of Clans therefore to have something like this would herald the end by definition and they have a "half-vampire" vibe to them which is something I've never particularly keen on (the same could be said Dhampir and VtM Revenants actually).

Some people might argue that UKIP shouldn't have been MEP's but it still happened.
EA shouldn't have asked a group of Call of Duty fans to judge their new wacky Team Fortress killer, resulting in grey sludge of a game but it still happened.
Populism and mistaking hatred for criticism (although vice versa happens to).

I agree completely, not just Holy Paladins but Swords for Hire too.

Half-vampires, vampires with a soul and all that have always been part of the legends.
And I'm a sucker (heh) for Blade though plus there's way crazier shit in the World of Darkness, I think it's just a question of context and perspective really.
Walk a mile in a Dhampires' shoes and all that, role play as one, you might like it.  :cometome:

Lets not bring politics into this please. In any case there being Hunters/Slayers in Dogma does make logical sense.

Exactly and to be honest the Inquisitor Hunters from WoD only think themselves Holy Paladins for the most part, they did a lot of bad too.

Never been keen on Vampires that are made to look Demons and Vampires that have mantis mouths but at least they don't sparkle. It's not that I think Blade is bad, I actually like the basic appearance of the Reapers for instance. In WoD, Vampires are assumed to be damned at least by Hunters therefore they have to have a soul. Just because its a part of the legends doesn't mean its great or I have to like it besides many legends are by definition incompatible. The idea of Vampires burning in the sun for instance doesn't appear in any folklore and was most likely invented by the film Nosferatu. Jiang-shi, Chinese hopping Vampires/Zombies go round hopping they can also be warded off by special writing on paper and well its hard to be intimidated by that. In many settings Vampires can't have children and therefore Dhampir are impossible by definition. VtM isn't perfect and many do concede as such, in any case there is many things I like about it. There is many ways Vampires have been presented through out history and there Vampiric beings all the way back in greek mythology.

I'd like to be a vampire that hunts both human hunters and "bad" vampires.

I think I misunderstood, I thought you were talking in the context of spending time on their forums.
In the context of the game it's less about hating the supernatural and more about exploring morality.
And of course doing things from the more 'hardcore' underdog perspective.

I'd like to be a vampire that hunts both human hunters and "bad" vampires.
Interestingly we haven't seen much of morality in the game color me curious.
What is a 'bad' vampire in the context of Dogmat?

There's always a narrative loopholes though, it's just a question of quality writing really.
White Wolf/Onyx Path has had plenty of that in my highly subjective opinion.

Yes I meaning more so in the game world but there was a very heated exchange awhile ago that I was involved in around someone more or less out right hating Vampires. Well my suggestion of Bounty-hunter style stuff would allow for greater variety in how Hunters are used and presented. Also if Hunters are allowed to choose who they like and don't like in terms of Supernatural, whether its whole group or whether its just "bad" ones or whatever.

Well Vampires in Dogma: Eternal Night (as Project Dogmat is no longer the name for it) will have something called Essence and when you lose enough of it you will resemble a Nosfeartu style Vampire and eventually die unless you sacrifice a human servant in your place. Essence is a Morality system.

Thin bloods are the only Vampires said to have created Dhampir and there a weaker more human like Kindred therefore there is a certain logic to that. Of course Thin bloods occur because every new generation is progressively weaker until the blood ain't worth much at all. There is logic to that system but its designed to be limited and therefore wouldn't be appropriate for say Dogma.

Well, I just meant the ones that got in my way or that I didn't like, but sure... low essence vampires work, too!  :cometome:

The Pre-order total currently stands at $11,645 if they get to 15k they will have enough for public Alpha testing.
