The Kickstarter is live!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/prelude/dogma-eternal-night

Looks like some fun tier rewards. These are the big highlights (to me), but there's a lot of other stuff offered with each tier rank so go and see for yourself.

$20 - Early Access (Copy of the Game)

$50 - Beta Access

$110 - In game personal apartment

$200 - Alpha Acess

$2500 - In game personal mansion

$10000 - Personal in game content

Wow! I am surprised. They uphold masquerade so tight, that we who live in Russia, never heard of them :)
Thank you for enlighting me.

p.s. Your links will work better if you put '/' between 'com' and 'en'. Unless it was done to shelter them from searchbots.

Even if I overlook the fact that is P2P and they did not name a price for that , they also did not address the issue of a possible C&D which makes me skeptical.

Main blocking issue for me is the P2P deal,  I mean I won't pay Adobe subscription so it makes less  sense for me to pay subscription to a game like that on top of an initial kickstarter.

I get that the developers fear that they won't recieve enough money to develope content and keep the server up otherwise but I still think asking for subscription is a mistake in this case, especially on a kickstarter.
and this 'I fear I won't get enough money' financial planning also killed the kickstarter of a friend of mine who is making a VT.

I mean come on guys , even Chris Roberts doesn't ask for monthly subscription after asking for a B2P and he is way more famous and experienced (and still some people regard him with skepticism for not shipping a game for the past 12 years or so).

I don't believe them, it starts to look to me like money-grabbing initiative.

They failed to finance they project via crowdfunding, so it's very unlikely they will be able to achive this this way.

I wish them the best of luck, and feel free to keep promoting the project and discussing it in this thread as you wish. However, in an official capacity, PlanetVampire isn't promoting Dogma any longer on social networks or our front page. There wasn't much accountability on Kickstarter, but there is virtually no accountability now. They're using to Humblebundle for transactions and point to Humble's return policy:

"Note: Please be aware that 60 days after a purchase, it is no longer possible for us to issue refunds so please contact us as soon as possible. We do not issue refunds for Bitcoin purchases at this time."

I wish them luck and hope they put together an awesome game. I, nor any staff member here, knows the Dogma team well enough to suggest people throw money at the project through their current system. It was ultimately my call, but it was discussed at length on the moderator board. Like I said, I hope things work out for them, no ill will at all. I'd feel terrible if I recommended it, then things didn't work out for whatever reason and people lost their money.

Please read Signo's post above if you haven't already.

I just saw that Dogma posted again on Youtube. One video was about male character creation which looks pretty thorough (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyRwJR_o540) and the other one was just to show off rain/water effects.

Seems legit not to mention amazing and there doing really well with the Pre-orders at this point. They released quiet a few videos n images of gameplay and the first city as well as they have also been working on lore as well among other things.

Feel free to keep discussing it, there is still interest in the project by those in our community. We're just not promoting it on social media or as a site, suggesting people contribute, or saying they shouldn't. If you wish to talk about the game, or share their progress in PV's forums, it's just another topic and it's absolutely fine. I personally still follow it somewhat, and have stayed subscribed to their youtube channel, just not promoting it for the reasons I previously mentioned.

I understand and respect your position. I don't speak for Planet Vampire nor have I claimed to do so. I do as I always do speak my mind. I have great hopes for the project and I did decide to invest in it. If I ever say anything considered out of line simply let me know and I will to the best of my ability not repeat what I did.
