Bloodlust: Nemesis (Shadowhunter Sequel)

So it's out on early access now on Steam. I just fired up the game for the first time and I have to say I'm impressed with the clan names

LOL! I tried the demo of the first one but it's more dungeon crawler than FPS/RPG so it's nothing for me...

I don't have any contacts with the devs, but it would be pretty coincidental if they aren't fans of the vtm games. In this sequel, you start in a warehouse, then go to Chinatown. Still a Diablo style dungeon crawler, with quest systems that are more like Redemption than Bloodlines. There is a little variation in this one, some new mechanics added, and some that are better thought through based on feedback. The characters overall have a little more variety, and the story seems a little more compelling so far, but it will still feel very familiar if you played the first game. For a small team, they're doing a good job implementing a solid dungeon crawler, but you have to be into those if you're going to enjoy it. I appreciate it either way, and there appears to be a multiplayer feature listed, but I haven't messed with it yet.

I played the first one but never completed it. There is nice bits to it but I think I just don't like dungeon crawlers, something that I've learned for a fact from the first game. Still I liked the gameplay better than Redemption.

Just chiming in. First post here after years away from the community.

Anyway, I think BL is pretty much the closest we have gotten so far to a new vampire-themed RPG. It is not a spiritual successor to Redemption or Bloodlines, but if the developer opened it to modding then maybe...

I don’t know. Make yourself heard on the Steam forum page. The dev sounds like a nice guy.

I have both games, but I've been waiting for them to get patches to be close to be finished.  I played the 1st still in beta, and stopped for these reasons.
