I'm sorry for your loss. I wish you the best and a lot of strength :).

Also that looks promising! Good work. I'm glad that there are more devs, who still care about getting vamp games out there. Keep it going!

I'm sorry for your loss, take as long as you need.

Nice new video. I'll look around for stuff for suggestions on outfits.

Project dogmat was never a game, it was just a collection of paid assets from unity3d asset store, it was clear from the beginning nothing good would come out of it
It was what??!!
The Character creator does work I've used it, seems pretty decent though pretty buggy,. There was NPCs with dialogue and feeding mechanics; even the start of stats but all is buggy.

Thank you very much, darkgodslair.

Do you have a devlopment blog or release updates in anyway? i'm very curious about your project, and if you ever find yourself switching to unity we could join forces if you like.

Thank you very much, The Shadow Man.

About project dogmat let me try to explain it by using their 3d models as an example. Their vampire models are a paid asset inside unity (search for mcs morph female/male), And almost every single thing they showcased in their videos are bought premade assets bundled together (aside from their UI).
Using paid assets by itself is not a bad thing, since many great games are made using them, but what they did was they bought said assets, bundled them together(and then did a bad job at that) then said they made everything from the ground up.
Thats a form of scamming for quick cashgrab and they obviously lack the skills to build real content/code. Jimquisition made a video about this type of scam thats becoming quite common these days, ill try to find and post here, since he explain in detail and show a few examples.

Edit.: here is the video https://www.youtube.com /watch?v=5svAoQ7D38k

ps.: I'd like to say that i'll find a way to include a fair lot of fanservice in the game, not only using content from WoD, but remembering those who help in any way(maybe i'll name a beer brand "the shadow man" or show a poster for a new comic book entitled "angel girl" and things like that, lol.

Well I feel kinda stupid that I bought into the Project now. It looked so legit, they'd start developing lore, had concept art, symbols, logo, music.

Wow, that's sad. Steam is even worse than I imagined! Have they no living people actually looking at anything they greenlight or sell there?

It is sadly the truth. There in no human actually looking into newly submitted games. Valve is just waayyy too dependent on there automatic algorithms and don't want to employ people to oversee it manually. The thing is that greenlight was actually not all that bad. Steam direct, it's current model, is just pure garbage, sadly

Thank you very much, darkgodslair.

I have now development blog inside my portfolio.

Here you will be able to find my progress and dev updates: https://darkgodslairgames.wixsite.com/home/blog

I will probably not go back to unity, because I actually transitioned from it. There were some things I just disliked a lot, especially their business model and the huge difference between free and pro version. The pro version was also way too expensive. Unreal just gave me a better feature palette and a better business plan, so that's why I will stay there.

However, if you want help with anything (be it models, textures, animations, music, sounddesign etc.) just ask. I have in every area a lot of expertise :).

Sure thing - whenever I'll come up with anything, I'll definitely let you know! If I may ask, how long have you been working on this project? And what ideas do you have for the plot of this game?

As for the video, I'm impressed that there's already a fighting system + her fighting moves look pretty smooth!

hahaha, I really like those - such "Easter eggs" are always fun  Thank you very much for thinking about me too, I appreciate it a lot!

Yeah, they made photoshop assets and things like that but the overall gameplay was just an asset flip. But don't feel too bad, you had no way of knowing that withou being familiar with unity asset store.

Wow, that's sad. Steam is even worse than I imagined! Have they no living people actually looking at anything they greenlight or sell there?

Correct me if im wrong, but i think they took steam greenlight down because of that.

I've watched your videos and it looks very prmissing also our projects are similar in many ways, neat. Maybe your work will enable more people to create WoD games, since you are creating it as a template.

I'm currently in need of a couple of things, animations and city models, would you be interested in helping me with that?

I've been working on the basic mechanics for at least 2 years, maybe more. I've started using bloodlines and witcher 3 as inspiration for an original IP RPG, but then, not too long ago, decided to create a WoD game.
We just got a writer to join the team so i'll keep you update on the lore and general story, but what i can tell you now is that it will happen a few years after bloodlines and that some characters will have cameos on the game.

And now for something completely different:

Thanks :).

Well, depends on compatibility. I am still on an old version of softimage, so I don't know, if I can animate one of your models. However, I will give it a go if you want :). City models wise I can help you, you just need to specify, general texture dimensions and such.

What I liked about the video were the unarmed motion attacks, as a I felt them very realistic and proper, but after that I kept watching those stairs at the back and thinking how they didn't seem very ergonometic, I would love to see how the character moves through them ;)

If your animations work inside unreal i think i can retarget them inside unity using mecanim quite easily, If you could make a vampire bite animation that would help me finish the bloodsucking mechanics that i am working on right now! About the models i'm using 2048x2048 as default, if you could create some stores and buildings that would be lovely, there are some pictures of some models i've created using old bloodlines concept art in my instagram if that helps.

Thanks Yosiel! The game is currently on alpha stage, i'm polishing the systems right now so almost every single model (including the stairs) are just placeholder, so i can test everything and showcase whats done. Still on this topic i'm trying different ways of achieving a smooth stair climb using animation and IK, this will be part of a larger system that will manage the player to climb(and perform other acrobatic stunts) almost anything.

Here is a sneak peek of the character sheet, tell me what your impressions are everybody!

My animations work inside Unreal, so that's no big deal. It would also help tremendously having your refs from your instagram. It will give me some sort of general artistic direction :).
