                    *tires screech*

     Wait... wait... wait.

I've been thinking about this concept and I've been doing this all wrong. My main focus was power then role play. Shit I hate being wishy washy and flipping back and forth, but I don't think I can do this Wraith-Vampire chronicle without a few eyes rolling. I thought it would be cool to have really old and powerful Elder characters that also have some of the abilities of Wraiths like in The Risen, but I see that this would be a little too campy, both sides of the story (Vampire and Wraith) would lose their impact, and basically be just an excuse to fill out character sheets with astronomical stats. I'm sorry for getting you guys all hyped up, and I still want to use character sheets in a chronicle, but this one is all wrong.

I want to tell a story that sucks you in, to hit home and have you say "Yeah I could see that happening," and to make your suspension of disbelief not have to go far, not stretch it as much as I can, and I don't see that happening with this chronicle.

*sigh of relief* I was worried. What say you arathalion?

I'm going to create a new chronicle exclusively in the Vampire: The Masquerade setting. Again, brand new characters will be used.

thats fine, and preferable to going to overpowered

     however

i like the idea of having a chronicle that starts in the dark ages and goes on. it would take a while to get through, but i think the idea is good... or several chronicles going over the ages. yeah, we would end up with elder characters, but i think this is fine if we dont start that way, and spend time in torpor... but now that you mention the wraith thing... that would probably be a bit ridiculous.

I think we should try to keep realism at hand, and make it believeable to readers, so...no superpowers or anything. Touching on the realm of spirits will add an interesting dimension, but not too comic-book like, you know what I mean?

Ok cool. Now that everyone has read the update, I'll have Skyra or a mod remove this thread.
