  •                 Stick your bios up here for everyone's easy reference, just in case they can't get to Javokis' site.

     Name: Alejandre (al*eh*shan*drey) DeAnorim
     Race: Kindred
     Clan: Toreador
     Generation: 9th
     Sire: Dante Alighieri
     Human Age: 23
     Blood Age: 362
     Rank: Elder
     Faction: Camarilla (in name only)
     Diciplines: Auspex (5), Celerity (5), Presence (5), Potence  (3), Obfuscate (3)
     Powers: Doubletalk, Shadow Feint

I, Alejandre DeAnorim, was born in 1621, in a village outside Oporto, Portugal. My early years were uneventful, my father was a carpenter, and so it seemed I would one day follow him in this trade, as was common in those days.
One day on my nineteenth year I was running an errand for my father in Oporto, when coming from a tavern I heard the most beautiful music. It was a young violinist and his wife up from Italy. They had come to make some money before moving on to Madrid in hopes of playing at court. For a week, I came to the tavern every day to listen and talk to the violinist,  infatuated with the music, which seemed to me to express the very essence of the soul. When the time came for the musicians to leave Oporto, I begged them to take me with them, and to teach me to play as they did. The violinist and his wife reluctantly agreed, and I, having no great love for my father, and knowing he would never understand, ran off with them to Madrid.
For the next two years I lived and studied in Madrid, learning the art of music, stealing for my bread. I quickly became quite good at both, eventually amassing enough coin and skill to purchase some finery and, posing under some pretense, to play at a lavish ball in the manor of some aristocrat or another. I played better than I had ever before, earning me much praise and attention. The most attentive of all the courtesans and nobles was Dante Alighieri (8th generation), an Italian poet, my sire.
Dante saw in me the potential to surpass my two teachers, and he doted on me accordingly. He bought me the finest clothes, gave me a room in his own palazzo to live in, and took me to the most decadent and wonderful parties in all Madrid. I was his protégé, and he loved me (in a totally plutonic way ;D)
Then suddenly, in 1644, without warning or apparent cause, Dante roused me in the dead of night from sleep and ushered me into a carriage. We traveled on and off for 4 days, arriving finally in Paris. I asked Dante why we  had to leave Madrid and in such a manner, and he told me everything.
The then Prince of Madrid (a Ventrue, of course) had come to him, demanding he embrace me immediately so that I could be sacrificed to the Inquisition to draw attention away from the Camarilla elite in Madrid. My sire loved me too much to sacrifice me in such a way, and so despite his loyalty to the Camarilla, he took me and fled Madrid, knowing he could never embrace me there without the Prince using me, and fearing his wrath. He explained to me his true nature, and offered to give me the false life, which I immediately accepted. I am embraced in the year of our lord 1644, in Paris.
From then on I was with Dante always. From 1644-1736 we traveled the world, seeing all the great cities of Europe, (except for Florence, from which my sire had been exiled, and Madrid, to which he feared to return) as well as Cairo and Alexandria in Egypt. Then in 1737,  I finally convinced Dante to go with me back to Madrid,  longing to see again my mortal home and confident that the danger of retribution had passed. Reluctantly, he agreed, But while there in 1738 we encountered a different kind of trouble: The Inquisition. My sire was captured, tortured, and killed, and in my shame and guilt and fear I fled to my first home of Oporto, where I succumb to grief and enter a torpor for 34 years, blaming myself (and the Camarilla, who I would never again trust) for Dante’s final death.
Upon rising, I returned to Paris as a courtesan and continued as I always had, though now the songs of my soul were filled with pain and sadness. I became more guarded, affecting the demeanor of the stereotypical Toreador hedonist to hide my true cunning. Then in 1789, when the French Revolution broke out, I left Paris and Jouneyed to my sires home of Florence, Italy, where I met an apparently Austrian Tremere pianist, by the name of *insert Scipoten’s true name here*, beginning a rivalry/acquaintanceship that continues to this day.
I lingered long in Italy, finally departing in 1849 for the new word and the American port town of New Orleans. Immediately upon arriving, I was set upon. *insert Captain Boxman’s true name here*, a Brujah,  was the first kindred I met upon disembarking, as he tried, and failed, to cut my purse. I needed friends, and I needed information, and I quickly learned that he had both. He had connections with various levels of the Camarilla in New Orleans, as well as among the local Nosferatu.
So, from 1850 onward, we were a team. Gambling, drugs, alcohol, weapons, prostitution (escorts only, none of that street trash), if it was happening in New Orleans, and it was illegal, we had a hand in it. I hatched the schemes and greased the right palms, bribing, flattering, and blackmailing as necessary, and he worked the streets, meeting with, intimidating, and sometimes strong arming our many contacts and associates. Eventually, around the time of the Harlem Renaissance in New York City in the mid- 20’s, we expanded out of New Orleans. We now control the assets of a casino in Atlantic City, two night clubs (one in Miami, the other our original in New Orleans) several ghouls in NYC who fence stolen art and other valuables and give us a cut of the profits (and a few choice pieces) in exchange for vitae, and a small side business running blow from Columbia to Miami, all of this right under the noses of the New York power of the Giovanni and the Setites.
Living in my lavish 14th floor haven in New York City, I am also involved in stock trading and investments. My loose bond with the Camarilla extends only so far as to keep me informed on the day to day machinations of its members, and to take opportunities therein as I see fit. I play much the part of the decadent Toreador Bon Vivante, but its merely a mask for my cunning.

I have no idea how to play vtm, nor do I know how to play anything that's "pnp" but I'll be damned if that's not a pretty cool origin story.

  •                 Hey Az, here's your vampire pic..I did it at the office yesterday (I was so bored, nothin to do)..forgive me if it's a little off...I didn't have my Wacoam tablet with me or it'd have been better.

Your eyes I've made them amber/golden...since in life you had dark brown eyes. I decided to turn them golden-ish after your transformation into Kindred. Likewise for blue eyes, they'd become paler blue...grey eyes would become almost white (like Damsel's...green eyes would be a lot paler too, etc.

  •                 Name: Oselosk (aus-ill-ausk)
     Race: Kindred
     Clan: Ventrue
     Generation: 7th
     Sire: ?
     Embrace: 1297
     Human Age: 27
     Blood Age: 710
     Rank: Elder
     Faction: Camarilla
     Nature: Survivor
     Demeanor: Cavalier
     Diciplines: Dominate (6,) Presence (5,) Fortitude (4,) Celerity (3,) Auspex (1)

My name is simply Oselosk. I am not what one would typify as an average Ventrue. For all of my efforts serving my sire and the objectives of the Camarilla, I have spent close to 300 years locked in a sepulcher deep beneath the sands of Egypt in a state of torpor. This was in whole due to my envolvement with a failed attempt to undermine the Setites and squelch thier seat of power within Egypt itself. Although the experience has left no adverse physical effects, I can not help but wonder at the psychological effect it has had.  I harbor no ill-will or enmity towards my sire, who perished in the incident, nor towaards the other of my elders; whose machinations brought about my centuries of entombment. To this day I still assist the Camarilla, although not directly.  Now my involvement with any faction of Kindred, or mortal society for that matter, depends greatly on how it will serve to benefit me. To you, this may sound selfish or conceited, but given what I went through serving others, it seems only fitting to me. Make no mistake, my allegiance is still with the Camarilla. Any intelligent Kindred should understand the benefits such a Masquerade affords us all. I still do a bit of "charity" for the Camarilla, mostly tagging along (unseen in the shadows of course,) with the occasional coterie on one quest or another. Giving them the sense that they were the ones who dispatched with whatever misfortune befell them. This serves me just as well as it does any other party, I assure you.

Where I was born and raised as a mortal, matters not. Nor does the name of my sire; whom must remain anonymous. Lest this information expose both myself and other powerful members of the Camarilla to unspeakable dangers, and may well serve to shake the Camarilla to its very core.  Oselosk is a name which I assumed after my release from that exceedingly dry, deep prison. Torpor, death, both are very much preferred to consciousness in an envorinment such as that. Ahh, but I digress.

Fortunate was I when the Nazis uncovered the buried city which housed my lifeless corpse. Their blood served very well to quench centuries of thirst! I drifted for many years across the face of the Earth in an attempt to find myself again. I found as much as one can given the circumstances, and discovered a new passion in the music of the modern nights. I now masquerade as a DJ in three nightclubs in as many cities, and on two internet stations. Hence, my limited involvement with the Camarilla. No Sabbat, hunter, or mortal will jeopardize my new found hobby!

I like the blazer too, Az! Haha you can talk fashion with me. I thought it was a suit...I really liked the pinstripe design on it, fitted the whole Toreador look perfectly.
