Bah, was hoping to make a Human (DISAPOINTMENT). Oh well :> Are Caitiff allowed since technically we don't know any of our lineages? (I never did understand how that worked. Does the Curse of Caine have some timed expiration date that makes them clanless if they aren't taught within the few days? Its kind of lulzy.) Do we have a base generation limit ( only x ammount of background points able to be spent on generation if any at all?) The intro mentions Antitribu so are the Players Guide to the Sabbat (Revised) bloodlines allowed (City Gangrel or Toreador Antitribu for example which differ from the main branches of the clan)
Sorry its hard for me to predict if Players prefer to start as human . Ideally there would be many Players and I would not have to restrict character creation in this way but as it is now to kickstart things everyone starts as Kindred, later additions to the cast may have to start as humans.
Caitiff are allowed and they are Vampires of
unknown Lineage, Meaning their parent lineage isn't one of the established clans. Otherwise you can just a play a Gangrel who doesn't know s/he is a Gangrel.
About the Antitribu comment all I will say at this point is that it is an assumption made IC by a group of Camarilla Kindred doesn't mean its true or false.
You
Can Create a Tremere even though Tremere is Camarilla specific.
To clarify I intended to restrict Clan choice at start mostly because I want less cardboard that seems to come with exotic bloodlines choices.
A Toreador that crossed over to the Sabbat doesn't change their Clan weakness even though they are considered Antitribu.
If you must though Toreador Antitribu, Gangrel Antitribu, Assamite Antitribu are allowed but you might recieve crap for it from Camarilla douchebags ;)
Lasombra Antitribu(found in the Camarilla) are also allowed.
Rest of the Bloodlines that do not appear in the Corebook are not allowed.
Generation:Since being 8th generation(5 dots) practically puts a big 'diablerize me' sign over your head to anyone who knows about it, it might not be such a great idea.
The NPCs I make for this chronicle would be "Real" characters in the sense that They do
Not have:
-Godmode
-Redicules stats
-Omniscient insight into your character sheet
-Protection of a mysteriou Plot-Powered "Coincidance" that saves them whenever they are in danger.
On the flipside the vlunrability mean that may try to work against you if they have enough IC motive and opportunity.
Most NPCs probably won't know you have a lower generation or won't care but the few jealous ambitious type who might find out about it might see it as a threat and try to have you eliminated or worse take the power for their own.
PCs may also conspire to kill you if you use your lower generation too much.
So anyway I do not restrict Generation but these are some factors to consider.
A question, would you guys prefer to fast forward on the whole "Learning to be a Bloodsucking Vampire Post Embrace" part or prefer to start from that point?
Also I have not explicitly state a specific city where it all takes place, A fictional city might be good or I can use a slightly modfied version of one of the 'By Night Books':
-An exsisting city might feel more tangiable to people who know it but requires research and use of google maps(ex NY,Chicago,D.C, Amsterdam,Glasgow and so on)
-A fictional city can be more versatile but might require more description of the city (ex Gothham,Sin City, Matrix city,Damnation City).
I can also use a Real city but downplay the importance of historical research and all sorts of minor accuracys because chances are I never really read the guidebook.
Prominant real RL cities I have been to and can describe in relative accuracy : Amsterdam, Stockholm, Helsinki, Paris, Utrecht, Lyon, New York, Berlin and Antwerp.
Cities I can describe from TV or Videogames(sorry but abit lolz): Miami, LA, D.C, London, Glasgow, San Fran...
Have also been to other cities but I dont think its relevant because they are either too run down or the political regional climate can put a serious contriversial divide on the Masquerade and gameplay which will just be a burdening metaplot in itself.
Can also have the chornicle take place in the Country outside of a major city, the intro doesn't really commit me to anything specific yet so what is your choice?
