Oh and I dont know about the others, but Kjell won't be joining us. Kjell's van is a soundproof van. Rofl. I still remember that joke from about... oh... 7 years ago. Epic.

And somewhere in that van, he probably still has the old chainsaw with the phrase "rug muncher" stenciled onto it.  Benecol told me the back story over a few drinks (back when he was in med school), but I can't remember many of the details.

Ohhh man. Malavis lost a hand to Rug Muncher back in the day. Funny thing was that it was friendly fire, the thing kicked back while it was in some sabbat nossie's skull. My dodge rolls have ALWAYS been horrible.

How's Benecol doing? I haven't talked to him since he was in med school- if you do happen to see him/talk to him online, tell him his favorite Malk says hello :)

Now that we've gone irredeemably far off topic, allow me to bring it back home:
I've finished generating a character, I'll be submitting it via e-mail in the next hour or so: I did have a few quick questions:

- What city is this taking place in?
- Did our characters have any kind of warning ahead of time that we were going to be embraced? Any shadowy figures, a sense of dread, being watched? Someone sneaking into my house and reorganizing all our cutlery, anything? :)

Thanks! I'm working on an image for my character, which I'll post to the forum with your permission.

Answers to your questions:

About The City, I asked if there is any preferences eariler on this topic and since there is none Iv decided to go with a fictional city.
I will draw out a map later on. There is also a village/town on the outskirts of the city that is mostly surrounded by forests and mountains. The City also have an industrial zone and a few agricultural farms that are located much further away on the few plains that have been cleared but being small still fall under the city's municipality.

As for the Embrace, if your character was being watched, followed etc perior to the embrace they wouldn't know about it, it came out of nowhere to them, The only common thing is that they were outside of their home right before or when it all happened. you can assume the sire had some preferance for one type of individual over the other but your character has no indication that any of it was or wasn't premeditated.

Pictures and drawings are welcomed of course.

Cool- Sounds good. That fits perfectly with my prelude.
I'll be submitting that to you via e-mail shortly.

Thanks!

To any players in this game, depending on what circles you run in, you might've seen a similar ad to this on a few billboards or splash banners on websites, etc. They're an American telecommunications company called Burke Communications, and the fellow posing in the shot is the CEO's Son, Gabriel Burke. The rest is probably unknown to you unless you're a player in the business world, but he's reached that level of fame that makes you say "Where have I seen you before?"

Iv yet to recieve your character sheet and bio you know... I assume your character will have the required Fame and Resources backgrounds?

I don't think there is much of a problem with this public background as long as the Embrace is consistent with what I described in the OP.

Resources 4, fame 2.

Submitting it as we speak, I'm just having trouble getting the filesize down :)

Also for future please refrain from posting character stats on public forums especially since Iv yet to approve anything. and because I'm trying to keep away from metagaming even if fame rating is common knowledge.

Is ok, and I dont want to be a buzzkill, just trying to keep things from going too off track before a baseline is established.

For map settings I drafted this as start:

I think it will be set in Ontario CA in the reigion bordering with NY, OH and MI
Area size:
City : 198 sq km

kind of a tough spot selecting a location really because in a way it demands as much thought as selecting a specific RL city.

Higher res:
Spoiler for Hiden:

I was born in southern ontario. Nice :D looks a bit like brantford/brampton.

Anyone else see that and immediately go "Crap, we're all going to be eaten by werewolves."?
;)

Haha just kidding. It looks good :D

I know O.o

But no worries I have thought of that direction, will post more specific info later, I'm still fleshing it out.

Edited the image for more reasonable viewing size and put the original in a spoiler
