The city of Omaha has always been a seemingly quite place.  Small when compaired to the sprawling major cities that line the American coasts.  Of course, to the vampires of both the Cammirilla and the Sabbat, the city represents a barrier, one constantly contested over.  For the last hundred years, the Cam has held a shaky hold in the city, keeping an uneasy peace with anarchs and independts who enjoy the minnimal presence of the more restricitve Cam.

Opportunities are abound in the city for young vampires, if they are willing to live so near a Sabbat strong hold only right across the river.  This has posed a problem for the Camirilla prince in the city...  So many young, hot blooded kindred, many out on their own for the first time since thier embrace, they have lacked power, experiance, and restraint.  Many have been unable or unwilling to protect and defend their own city and some have even made the treck to Council Bluffs (Iowa) and into the hands of the Sabbat who rule there.  One infiltrator has used information gained from one of these unfortunate fledglings and not only managed to enter the Court but to bestow unto the prince, final death.

The Cammirlla, unwilling to give up this city has sent a replacement.  She brings with her a new court and has sent the call to the major Cam cities for fresh, experienced blood.  Some will come for the oppertunity to carve out territory in a place with so few to lay claim.  Some will come to combat the Sabbat and keep the Anarchs and Indies in line.  Some will come to see this new Prince, who seems to have emerged from the very shadows.  Nothing is known of her, except the power she is supposed to eminate and the ease with which she has established command.

All who come will have their own reasons.  What will yours be?

It has been weeks now, since Prince De Winter has come to the city.  In that time she has set up a new location for court.  The building itself sits in the midst of what the locals refer to as The Old Market.  Most of the buildings in that area were built at the turn of the century.  Court has been established in one of these old buildings.  After weeks of renovations during the day, the sign above the new door with darkly tinted glass reads only "DeWinter Investments" in stark silver on black lettering.

The door has a speakerbox and key pad next to it, and standing on either side of the dark portal are two security gaurds.  Much like any of the non-discriped buildings in the area, the locals don't seem to pay any mind to the fact that few people ever go in and out of that door, though cars do enter and leave the private parking garage on a regular basis.  For those in the know, there is even a special entrance for those kindred who are a little more shy than others.

There still is much talk about this new prince and her court of stone.  Most say that there isn't a scrap of wood in the whole place, secutiry is tight and it isn't worth trying to bring in weaponry of any kind.  There have also been reports of voices comming from the walls and things vannishing into the very stone itself.  The Tremere of the city seem particularly on edge in this place.  As for the prince, rumors have it that the very air around her is colder.  Her clan still seems to be a matter of question but any who have questioned her brand of rule have yet to be seen again.  She is quickly weeding out any who would endanger the Cammirilla's soverenty in this city.

Another court draws near and the city's Kindred are tense.  An influx of new Kindred are chomping at the bit to be acknowlaged and allowed Domain in a city rife with opportunity.  Even the Independents are taking notice as Prince DeWinter mantains her hold without strain.

The Setites have been heard, here and there, telling one another of how they have had none of the issues with upstarts amongst the Camarilla in their clubs they once had and that this new Prince seems willing to deal with them, perhaps even grant them Domain.  Certainly more than the previous princes were willing to do.  This new prince, be she so unknown, has even sent invitations to the clans, welcoming them to court, providing they abide by the rules of Elysium.  Perhaps they should send an envoy, besides, so little is known of this prince, even by her own court.  Information is their buisness, after all.

Perhaps it's that mystery that draws so many to court.  The aura about her is something which puts the court on edge.  DeWinter is a puzzle and while a few wisper that they know the answer, one only need look at this prince to find the falsehood in those claims.  The Toreador feel she looks like one of their number, and indeed, she is beautious to behold.  Her gowns are tailor made.  Her hair, a silken river of flame, almost at odds with her porcelain pale skin, seems almost an artfice, for never is a strand anywhere that is unpleasing to the eye.  The Nos disagree.

Oh, she's fair to look at, especially next to them, but it's too perfect they say.  Something about her appearance is unsetteling, like the power she seems to radiate.  The way she sits and watches them, green eyes seeming to see through to the cold dead hearts of every Kindred, her face void of emotion except when she is displeased.  They recall how she delt with the fool the Rabble had made Primogen.  How she smiled and leaned close to him, the only time she had been seen to smile and terrifying it was, how she wispered in his ear so low those with auspex did not hear, and how his face twisted in horror to look upon her after.  He was taken with that expression on his face, looking as if he would scream something, once the Sherrif had staked him and had him dragged somewhere.  The Rabble are still trying to produce a new Primogen from their ranks.  Yes, to see her then, one might have thought she'd sprout claws to rend his heart out.  The Toreador are all looks and no rage.  Nono, not this prince.  Oh, they want to know, but not even the worst cursed of the Nos could inspire such fear in one of the Kindred, so they wonder a little, is it worth finding out?  It's probably better to watch and wait.  Perhaps it will come out at Elysium eventually.  Makes court interesting at least.  This new batch of Kindred better know their shit though.  God only knows what she will do if they make a mistep now...
