  •                 With a lot of holiday's coming up soon I thought we should have a thread dedicated to them.

Personally my favorite holiday is Halloween, big surprise there.

Crud.  I created this in the wrong section...so change this to holiday party!

  •                 I am familiar with Halloween, although the tradition is not celebrated in my country. Last I checked, they were selling glow-in-the-dark fangs at a supermarket. *grimaces* No self-respecting vampire would want his teeth flashing about!

     I love Christmas.

     Oh yes Laurie, those pictures.

  •                 I have fangs that slip right over my teeth and look pretty realistic.  *puts on a haunted house sound track, complete with rattling chains, chainsaw, and screaming.*

Hmm..? Cool place, I feel right at home.

I can do a pretty good Eric Draven style impression, (When I try, which isn`t often).

but I`ll just stick with the tall guy in black leather, without the face paint this time.

     Pass the bloodpunch bowl please.

  •                 Halloween is tops on my list.

I have won several costume contest.

When else can you dress up, act crazy and people give you candy for it?

Also it is against the law to where a mask in certain states but, on  Halloween they look the other way.

Just like they do with fireworks on July and New Years.

There`s a place here called Hellfire that stocks all sorts of Vampy and other accessories, clothing and stuff.

     I`m a regular in there.

And the webbers will be fine, I`ve got most of them hanging around me at the moment, nice pets.

  •                 If you're going to go through the effort (and expense), most dentists will make you a pair of custom fit/length ones for about 200-250.
One of my ex-gf had them, though she got what are called the "Lilith" style, since she had a small mouth. They attached to the teeth next to her canines so they could be seen easier when she smiled naturally.
I (personally) found that to be a bit silly, but she liked them.

As for my favorite holiday... definitely the Fourth of July. Nothing like cooking out and watching awesome fireworks, especially when you can be in your own back yard and see fantastic community/city shows (compared to going to a public central location for it, and being there with hundreds/thousands of ppl you don't know, and getting charged an arm and a leg for food/drink).

I think x-mas is my second favorite, and Halloween a close third. -- for Halloween I usually dress up in baggy sweats, stuff them up with crumpled newspaper, put on an oversized mask, then sit all slouched and stuff in a chair on my front porch, so kids think it's just a stuffed 'scarecrow'... then when they get close... leap out at them. ... sent a few kids screaming.

  •                 In many ways I really like Halloween, but I dont have anything really interesting in my wardrobe, unlike my female friends, and so frequently if I dress for Halloween at all, I cop out by wearing garb.  (For an SCA person, garb is quite different from a costume, and it is like a doctor dressing up in surgical clothes for Halloween)

So, since this party is rather unexpected, I'll just wear my black silk shirt, black jeans, and midnight blue cloak, a typical Halloween cop out for me.  (Hmm, though I am currently storing costumes and props for my theatrical group, perhaps I can find something in there...)

     In no special order:

     Halloween
     4th of July
     New Years Eve

I'm one of those people who get horribly depressed around
Christmas time, so that doesn't make the list at all.

My favs are the same as Adrians but my favorite is definately Halloween. It reminds me of the fun party we used to have in Ohio. The town was so fucking boring and nothing ever happened in the country where I lived except on Halloween. The town would completely go apeshit and Court St. would turn into a Mardi Gras-type party. Everyone would dress up and some would undress:). I usually dressed up as a vampire because I was obsessed with the movie "Fright Night" and wanted to be Jerry Dandridge.

Every other holiday was spent trying to avoid visiting relatives who conveniently otherwise live far away from me:)
