Forum Emotes and Tools gone?
« on: July 15, 2019, 04:19:26 pm »
I can no longer access any Tools (quotes, code or url) or Emotes when posting messages. I'm not running any Ad or Script Blockers in Firefox v68.

Thanks for any tips.
Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

I reported about the same several months ago, but seems like it's kind of selective issues which other users can't see, so that's why they could be repeated by samspin and other admins.

Maybe an image will help?

My Forum Posting Tools and Emotes are still not working. Additionally I can't click on "Insert Quote" from a posted comment to add it to a message.

Just for t records the function "Embrace or Fleshcraft" is back

Following the server move I have reinstalled all forum mods afresh from a completely unmodified source. Unfortunately, the WYSIWYG editor still does not show up for me (or anyone else it seems, for that matter). This is despite brute-force enabling it for all users forumwide for all themes. I am forced to conclude it is broken. SMF's own support forum has had a "project lead" staff member say "the WYSIWYG editor does not work well, we dont recommend using it and we are not going to fix it." How delightful.

On the other hand, all other features appear to be working at this time.

Yes, I've got emotes again! Thanks everyone for all the hard work fixing and running these great forums!    :vampwink:
