  •                 As I said on the Lanceart thread, LOVE the "pervert" smilie, and the feeding one is awesome!

Just out of curiosity, what resolution are you running?

I've increased the font size on the two text-bubble smilies, but don't expect me to go the full 15 pixels with it - I've got to save some room for the text bubble around the words.

     Take a look:

Hey don't bring me into this. I know you have your perverted side too :P

Anyway I like what you guys have done so far I just hope they all can be added for use soon.

On another note if the coding is holding you back just find the pattern to add extra emotes. It should be very easy to implement and expand.

     Regards...

Only kidding?  But it's soooo tempting of a smiley idea!

These are some great smileys! It's weird I was using firefox and I actually couldn't see the smileys that had been posted. Switched to IE and it revealed smiley gold, especially the feeding smiley by Nrvnqsr Chaos. Also the blood boil, holy shit that's great!

Must be a setting in your Preferances, under the Edit tab.

Glad you like 'em.  I tried to create smilies that are fairly unique to the community, yet fit with the style of Planet Vampire's default smiley set.  That's why, of all the ideas Acleacius last posted, I jumped on the Blood Boil idea so quickly - it was far more unique than any of the other ideas, all of which I've seen done (in non-vampire style) on other sites.

The first few smilies, which are vampire-styled overhauls of Planet Vampire's smilies, are the only exceptions, and I have two good reasons: 1). having base-smilies to work from keeps my style consistent and reduces the overall amount of work without sacrificing much quality, and 2). my abilities with GIMP were very limited at the time.

Because of that, however, I've tried to do something new with each smiley I've made.  With the first few, it was getting the hang of select/copy/paste in GIMP, as well as using transparencies.  With my second, it was drawing text readably.  The next two were experiments with animation, with the "bite" smiley turning out exceptionally well.  The drinking smiley was an experiment with rotation and flipping of selections.  The Blood Boil smiley was practice with altering a base image more radically than I have in the past.

Now that you know my motivations, any other ideas?  I want to make unique smilies that the community will use.
