It was fun, but I can feel the aggrevation I know some of you wanted a major change and the mods are doing it now. Iam unqualified and would only bring this site to the grounds. I also can see that alot of old Vtm players and people who just seen it on google have been viewing the site and were curious, and to them I say that this community is one of the closest around and with the MMO coming out may should consider joining this site and bring some ideas.

Yeah guys.  I mean the whole idea behind this was to have a laugh together.  I mean, we obviously knew there'd be one or two people *coughcoughoffkorncough* who'd fail to see the humor in it.  The fact that it turned into something more than just a joke and became this outlet of issues is not a bad thing.  Like Skyra said, there will be time to post more about said issues and concerns soon, but that's not really what this thread is supposed to be about.  Please don't go turning something done in good sprits into another angst thread.

I think it was a win.  The wool was soundly pulled over the eyes of most of you.  We got more posts in a couple of DAYS then we have in a couple of weeks, and got to see this kind of shambeling parade of former members of the community who chimed in with their 2 cents.  It was pretty cool.

I'm aware that my post also criticized your behavior, And I must admit that I was curious how you'd answer to the post. Would you focus on improving the site, or would you focus on the personal aspects regarding your behavior? What's more important to you - improving the site or justifying your own behavior in discussions? Seeing that you only replied to the latter and totally ignored the former (although it my post would have been a good opportunity for you to re-focus the discussion on site improvements), the answer appears to be a bit sobering.

well played ! after a long while last night when i checked it, I was astonished on "what just happened? " I was wondering Master.cyril took over the community, I knew his plan about taking over PV and i thought he finally made it. I dont know cyril quite well since I didnt wanted to get involve in Forum Politics ! I didnt know whether he was qualified or unqualified to own the site, and frankly I didnt cared that much.

But something that took over me it was the sentence " If you want something Very much You Will Get it " and I started to believe  in it since i remembered Cyril wanting this since long time ago and he wanted it pretty much !

now smt else !why the colors of Skyra and Jakovis changed ? that is quite interesting !

well any way That was the biggest Prank I got Today ! and well Played happy

                I'M STILL CYRIL'S EARLOBE

gg @ this whole thing.  I laughed my ass off for most of the whole time, and then it turned into a whole big bitch fest and the joke turned absurd.  That's why I spoke up.   There is a certain way that the Gamespy/Forumplanet sites work and I knew that none of this was really feasible.

                LULZ.

My boyfriend got me worse than you guys last night though.  He's in the US Air Force stationed in South Korea.  Got me last night (was April 1st for him), goes..."Hey...I'm being transferred to Iraq."  I cried, made myself sick, ran over worst case scenarios...

 Then he says

"Which would suck except it's APRIL FOOOOOOOOOOOLSSSSSS"

So, well done, PV.  happy   Next time try crushing someone's heart, lol

Hey, guys.  I've only been on the forum for a short while but already knew of Master Cyril by reputation.  It was a good prank.  Props to Cyril for playing along.

In regards to everything else, I'd like to request that the forums in the Bloodlines-help section get a clean up.  Getting that game to run can be real pain, but the answers are in the forums if someone has the patience to read through several years of stuff to find them (I did, but it took awhile).  A little restructuring would help.

 Happy April Fools, y'all.

Psyringe posted:
it's not the opinions that you present which I find offputting (I agree with many of your opinions), it's rather the imho abusive and overly aggressive way how you present them.

I'm perfectly polite until someone reveals themselves to be logically and/or mentally impaired. When such occurs, I have a responsibility to call a spade a spade. If you try and dance around the issue with such people, they'll just continuously try to pass off obvious fallacies as factual information. Best to just swift-boat them and be done with it rather than dragging it out.

With your obvious knowledge about oWoD, you could be a Beckett on these forums, enlightening people while still encouraging individual thought and respecting differing opinions. With your zeal in attacking and insulting people who dare to present different opinions, you rather end up being a Grünfeld Bach though, which is a shame imho.

I don't attack people who have different opinions. I attack people who refuse to believe the facts despite piles of evidence being thrown in their faces.

As for helping people, well, I guess you haven't been paying very close attention to my posts or even looked at the title under my avatar. I'm a sociopath. I hate people. If someone can't be bothered to help themselves.... Despite that, I still give them a hand every now and again (masochism is a bitch). I only get nasty when they try to claim that their fever-dreams somehow count as an authoritative source of information.

Anyway. That's not really on topic here. However, the fact that you responded to this, and only this, part of my post, illustrates the problems I tried to outline.

I didn't respond to that part of your post because I already made my feelings known in great detail about that topic earlier. Both recently earlier and years ago earlier. Once the changeover was revealed to be a joke, there was no point in continuing to bitch about it.

I don't enjoy repeating myself. Not. One. Bit.

In all the discussions I've seen, you were the only person who mentioned the currently rather poor state of the site. You even made concrete suggestions on what to improve. In my post, I said exactly the same, I basically advanced your agenda in that regard. And of all people who posted in this thread, I was the only one so far who did that. I presented you an opportunity to go beyond the "good prank / bad prank" discussion that is developing here, and re-focusing on the point that this site could benefit immensely from some updates.

You don't seem to get that this has happened before... despite apparently having read my posts on the subject. Nothing happened in response then, nothing will happen now.

Do I agree with what you said (excepting that the Cabbie/Caine discussion deserves anything but to be exterminated with extreme prejudice)? Obviously, but there's no reason for me to come out and say so when I've already said the exact same thing twice before.

I focus on the parts of people's posts that either; A) matter, or B) reveal that person to be horribly mistaken and/or retarded. What's the quickest way to shut down someone pulling random bullshit out of their ass? Highlight the parts of their post that reveal them to have no clue what they're talking about. Responding to every single part of a post (as I did right here) is usually a waste of effort when used against people who can't form a basic train of thought. I have better things to do than fight a series of shadow-wars.
