If Caine Embraced In Modern Nights
« on: April 24, 2019, 11:23:30 PM »
I saw a similar discussion on reddit with this title, so I figured it would work here as well.

Anyway, if Caine were to create a 2nd Gen fledgling, would they be more powerful than the typical fledgling or would they have to start from scratch like everyone else?  Would being embraced by Caine in modern nights be similar to one hypothetically diablerizing a 2nd gen vampire from before the flood if they weren't all dead?

Caine's blood is very powerful so I would think at least SOME of that power would lend itself to a 2nd gen fledging.  I can't help but recall the Tzimisce Sabbat vampire remarking about the raw power and potential of the PC in VtmB.  So it seems to me that something carries over, power-wise, in the blood.

2nd generation, no less no more. The fact none actually showed up points to three conclusions: caine is only a myth, caine is already finally death (sorry for the pun), caine did but no one except them knows, caine lost faith and/or interest in siring, I don't know aritmetics.

A few guesses on some who might already be (and if we want to put it for laugh) for me are samuel jackson or christopher lee

I agree that they would be 2nd Gen, but I am curious as to what their power level would be.

As an aside, personally, I was always under the impression that the Cabby from VtmB was Caine.  That is kind of what I am working with in my head, anyway.

I think now that Paradox owns everything World of Darkness (old and new) we can look at VtmB as being fairly canon itself.  Clearly not every final outcome is canon but the events surrounding our choices probably are, in my opinion.

All I remember about the 2nd generation is the warrior of the three, in order to purify himself, thought of expelling, with a blood ritual, all the evil in him in order to physically destroy it. This thing generated instead a puny human. Completely confused, he decided instead to bring him to the wise one and understand what did happened. The wise thought to embrace him in order to better comprehend what he was. In the second he became a vampire he attacked them, fled away and become the tzimisce elder. Pratically in the exact moment it came to existence it had already a plan not only to survive but to become a being of pure power.

All of this I believe is enough to comprehend the magnitude of these generations.
