What happened to Dema?
I just finished the Boris quest. After killing the russians there was no Dema in front of Boris' door.
And therefore I could just waltz in, drain Boris without comment or a fight and walk out again.

Dema disappears if you start to kill the Russians. He do not disappear if you stealth kill some of them but the moment you are spotted killing any of them Dema run away of fear. This is not random and is present in UP+ 10.0 too.
Is that original Troika or created by the patch?


Btw, I really hate these bloody casting animations!

I could not say, I didn't play VTMB v. 1.2 for a long time but I can confirm it for UP+ 10.0. May be Wesp could say more.

I can't remember changing anything there and wasn't even aware that he vanished. There is a dema_hide_trigger but I would assume it's only after he leaves the office...

To remove DISCIPLINE CASTING ANIMATIONS replace in config.cfg: "vm_discipline" by "vdiscipline_last".

I understand that there's a lot of thinks unused, but how to restore it if you don't know troika's purpose with those things?

For example, the famous bunker textures, noone knows what troika planned doing with.

The staking icon is used in the malkavian mansion?
There's a lot of stuff planned for multiplayer game, probably latino hub was planned for some half-life scenery (also numina powers)

Just a few ideas....

Carrying bodies: the warren nosfy, if you save him he is too exhausted to move, you drag him to safety in the Nosfy lair and he rewards you. Because new animations is not an option it can be worked around: once the road is clear, you get back, use carry body, screen blacked out, jump sequence to the big door or directly to the lair. The icon shows carrying a nosfy-ish body....
Staking: the Grout sequence
Dice rolls: gambling mini game in the Empire Hotel?
Botching stuff: no idea what it is

Stats: no idea, maybe one thing or two but not much else without breaking up the mechanics

Disciplines: no reason to change them

Items: maybe only the electronic lockpick which adds the lockpicking feature, otherwise nothing at all

Weapons: Armsel Striker is a must (specially if it replaces that SPAS-15, I hate that gun!!), Plus the dual Sig seems beautiful, but without the proper animations can be a problem....

Mapping: no idea

Models: these animations seems promising, the friendly batswarm I don't know, those models maybe are redundant....

Textures: can you post those here (or tell us where they are in the archives)? Just to see what can be done with them....

Other: the old interface/HUD can be used in the multiplayer mode, the other things wherever those can be placed

Both are stat features, like you get a dice roll as in PnP with a chance to botch it up.

We have no way to make that actually work as the lockpicking is quite hard-coded.

Double pistols are out of the questions because of missing animations and triggers. But theoretically someone could make a new model for the SPAS-15 to make it look like the Striker.

I think the sheriff uses something like the batswarm already in the plus patch version.

Yeah, there are like three dogs and one cat in the entirety of Bloodlines. Animal Ken wouldn't be very useful in most situations, unless you wanted to summon nearby rats for you to feed on.

Speaking of cats, it's possible to add a cat in the haven (this is not a request for the UP, just I want to know how much is difficult do mod it myself)? Plus I need to know how to add dialogue to him/her.

Yeah, there are like three dogs and one cat in the entirety of Bloodlines.

And all of these were added by the UP in the first place! Yes, Animal Ken could have been made to work and more animals could have been added, but without it on the character sheet it makes no sense. As for Athletics, using console commands from Python would have made it possible to make the player move faster and jump higher, but besides the latter's problems with unsuitable level design, again no-sheet-no-deal. Also I think the old HUD is used at least partly in the Antitribu Mod, is it not?

I added cats in my mods, but there isn't animations for it
