Question about models and invisible textures
« on: February 11, 2019, 01:53:01 PM »
Hello to everyone
If I make a transparent section on a texture then that section of the model will be transparent. I was wondering if it's possible to make the inside of a model black so to improve the transparency effect. Any ideas?

The inside of a model is currently transparent right? I think the renderer does that to save resources.

Yeah. I was trying to do an Harbinger of Skulls (for my new 7 clans mod) by making an hole in the models face but it only failed due to this problem. Well, at least I got the greatest quote ever

You can make the inside be textured by the following vmt command: "$nocull" "1"

Yes, but I needed the inside to be black regardless of the texture on the other side

Nevermind, at the end texturing a skull in her face ended up quite good IMO (don't you think?)

Your skin reminds me of Imalia. You can indeed just overlay Imalia's skin over Heather's face. I wonder what that would look like. LOL

Actually, now that I think about it, I made the Wraith character you fight in the gallery in TFN invisible using the beach thug model. This is why you can still see his aura when using Auspex but otherwise is invisible. What was difficult was hiding his shadow which I ended up creating a black fog around his legs and feet to cover it up, lol.

I love this honestly.
