it doesnt happen the first time i enter the confession but it usually happens the second time, pretty strange.

Maybe this is a save game problem then, like the state of the dancers is not saved correctly...

I PM'd @Malkav to ask him how he fixed the bug and he told me this :
Quote
You have to edit the map but you don't need hammer. Use vpk tools or VTMBEdit to open the entity list, search and remove every instance of this line:
"teleport_move_timer" "10"

As any map edit you have to do it before your current character has visited the map or start a new game. And if you use VTMBEdit keep in mind that the program extracts and reimports the entity lists of every map in the directory. So if you want to edit only one map you have to move the file out of the game and then copy the edited one back.

Aight so i just tested the game without any custom content aside from the plus patch, and the bug still happens, it actually occurs after the Empire Arms Hotel quest after you killed boris, and not after the parking quest like i said, you should test it for yourself @Wesp
The first time you enter the confession club there's no bug when you dance, but the third time you enter the club after you did the boris quest, it usually happens, there must be some kind of glitch, people probably don't notice this bug cause they rarely dance after the boris quest...

It's simple : first time you enter the confession club, try to dance = no bugs
second time after you did the parking quest, try to dance = still no bugs
the third time you enter the club after the boris hotel quest = bug occurs

I still have no idea other than that the map state is not saved correctly. Just to be sure I implemented Malkav's suggestion for 10.3 though...

What could be the reason of the map not saving corretly? is it coming from my computer? i talked with someone from discord and they had the same issue, so i doubt i'm the only one :

I mean, it's not like this bug has a very big impact on the game but it definitely ruins the immersion for me, and i really love going to the confession club so it makes me sad lol

I just wanted to say I noticed this bug in my game too. Exactly the same as VickiLeekx described it.
Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies,
But stranger still is
Lost Carcosa.

To everybody with this problem, please replace the Confession map with the one attached and try again...

Just tested it with a new save and...the NPCs don't seem to be teleporting around anymore after i shoot them or dance with them, animations run more smoothly, problem solved i guess. It worked for me, thx a lot!

Cool! I found two more maps with a similar parameter and no teleport destinations, so I fixed them as well :).

Well, for me it didn't work. They are all standing still and not dancing at all now, and when I entered Confession the message "AI disabled" flashed on the screen.

Is it because I don't have the latest patch? :/ I had already started a playthrough and couldn't update...

...I really hope I haven't destroyed my save now.

That's normal. I think I didn't include the ain (AI nodes) file which the game creates new then. Enter again and everything should be fine!

I replaced the map files in both /vampire/maps and unofficial patch/maps and it worked perfectly, i didn't know which one to replace so i replaced both, you have to do it before your current character has visited the map or start a new game, otherwise it's not gonna work

Aha, I see. Well I guess I'll just have to live with it for now, until I am ready to start a new game anyway.

Thanks for the fix, Wesp!

Changes like this always in the /unofficial_patch folder. Any changes to the /vampire folder are ovewritten by the files in the mod folder.
