altering resolution via files
« on: October 20, 2007, 06:21:00 am »
Basically after having issues with a number of conflicting programs, my monitor doesn't like Bloodlines being played in 1182x864 any longer.  I've downloaded and tried fixing it via the resolution patcher, but sadly it doesn't let me alter this resolution value.  I've also tried looking through the config file to see if I could spot any variables in there that I could change, but couldn't see it. I've also gone to the point of getting a .dll reader/editor, although it seems to fail at reading the engine.dll (which is where I'm assuming it's buried) as all it spits back at me is a bunch of HL Lambda icons.
Fun and games.  As I got this through STEAM, a simple uninstall/reinstall is equatable to a pain in the arse, as I'll have to re-download it (unless there's a way to simply make steam reinstall things without having to re-download the entire package...).
Anyone able to lend me a hand or at the very least point me in the right direction?

Atariboy -> games, beer and childhood memories! what else could you want?
