  •                 Hi!

When I snipe with the Jamie or the Steyr, the sniping zoom swings constantly, doing sniping almost impossible.
My character's Ranged ability is 5 (I've tried pumping my Perception by Auspex (+2), but not even in that way...

Is it a hardware issue, or perhaps it is related to software?

     Thx!!

This is neither a hardware or a software issue but has to
do with skill. The phenomenon you describe is known as
"scope drift". The only way to eliminate this with full
certanty is to raise the Ranged Combat skill of your
character to either level 9 or 10 (I thought it was the
     latter).

This is of course, assuming that the unofficial patches do
     not change this somewhere.

No, they don't. I rather tried to reduce the sway a bit more because even with firearms max it's still a lot because it's actually connected to the idle movement of the weapon model!

  •                 Is that also true for all the other weapons? I mean the aim of the weapon being connected to the movement of the model.

No, that's only true for the zoom modes.

I've been playing the official 1.2 patch for some time now and have never noticed any swaying at max ranged feat from the Steyr or the Jamie Sue. I was under the assumption that you need MAX (10) Range for no sway in scope mode weapons.

ive never maxed out my firearms before, 9s the highest ive been, but i didnt know that the swaying would go away if ti was maxed.

i just used celerity...slowed it down enough to make sniping easy at any level.

Thank you all! Instead of using sniping (too many XP to increase my Ranged), I preferred using Suicide wink

I've just finished the game, and I gave the prince the key... My Tremere was so kind... Nice ending!

     See you!
