  •                 i've gone thru the whole haunted hotel and i'm just now ready to go into the bedroom with the hole in it and jump down into the bar. except i can't smash the hole wider and it's too small for me to jump into without making it bigger.

i'm playing v1.2 and never had a problem smashing thru the floor before. sad

please help me. i feel so retarded.

I assume you have already smashed the plywood.

If not, put the mouse over the plywood until you see a sledgehammer icon.  Then, press "E"

If you have done this then use the "noclip" console command to get you through the hole.

i did this to my shortcut:
     "C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\vampire.exe" -console

in the game, i get a console window with info in it and at the bottom, under all the other information, i type in: noclip

     then my game freezes.

can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong? thanks.

That is a known problem. To avoid it, only access the console from the menu (Esc).

bring up the console again and make sure to close it with the tilde button again. Closing it any other way tends to mess up the game.

     Hes right.  To clarify...

press "`" (tilde), type your command, press "`" again.

If you dont press tilde again you will freeze the game.

If you do freeze the game, you can unfreeze it by bringing up any other screen, (press "c" to bring up the character sheet and your game will work fine).

actually, tild is ~, but no one bothers to hit shift when they set it.

Actually, you do not press shift to access the console.  So, the "`" key, not the "~" is used.

yes, however the tild is this (~) symbol. i cant remember, but its either that it was the only function of the key on really old keyboards, or that no one thinks about it and just uses it because its the notable symbol. whenever you see it annotated, in relation to a concole, it says tild and is written ~.
