Fire effects + ATI video = slowdown
« on: July 04, 2009, 07:32:00 pm »
I recently switched to ATI HD 2400 Pro from an nVidia card (yeah, old card, but I just wanted to get around compatibility issues that nVidia has with certain games) and now the frame rate in Bloodlines goes down immensely when there is fire or similar effects (for example, the glowing mist when talking to the LaCroix-possessed SWAT guy at endgame) over a large part of the screen. I have tried several different driver versions, and turning off anisatropic filtering and anti-aliasing, but haven't found a way to fix this thus far. Any ideas? Sorry to be so vague.
