Hi, i'm playing Vampire on this system:

 Geforce 8800GT 512 MB
 AMD X2 4600+
 2 GB ram

And the game doesn't run very well. The screen is freezing for like one second very often, same with the sound.

I can play newer games like Heroes of Newerth without any problems at all at max graphics.. I've updated all my drivers, tried turning off one cpu and changing the priority for the game but nothing has solved my problem.

If anyone knows anything about this, please tell me.

Have you tried Windows98 compatibility mode?

You could try running some different compatability modes, disabling UAC, running as admin, disabling virus checkers and so on.
