ED_Alloc: no free edicts

Game crashes to desktop and give this parameter: "ED_Alloc: no free edicts".
Well i had no idea where to write it. I play CQM 4.0.1, but this problem was mentioned last time in forum posts during 7.1 UP on unmodded game. Looks like something more general.
So I decided to write it here. If this decision is incorrect please move topic somewhere else.
For me CTD happened during santamonica dream in main hub, after speaking with Nines. Looking at other posts in internet it looks like this moment was crucial for this bug to appear.
From what I read already problem is connected to maximum number of "edicts" and is problem of game engine and affect other games than vtm:b a lot often.
I found couple of suggestions to fix this:
num_edicts "4096" added this to autoexec.cfg.
tried: "ai_clear_bad_links", "remove_entities_by_class auspex_aura" in console.
lastly: "for i in range(1,6):Find("hallucination%s" %i).Kill()" in console.
None of this helped.
You think that fighting with heapsize parameter can be helpfull?

In other topic on this forum is suggestion that rescipe to handle this problem is somewhere in:
but it looks like this site is off for some time.

I hope that this problem is old and handled long time ago. That simply someone remember how to resolve it.

vampire.exe -num_edicts 4096?

As for forumotion board, I don't remember any other solutions from there that you aren't already tried.

vampire.exe -num_edicts 4096
I tried it that that way before i put:
 num_edicts "4096"
in autoexec.cfg

Solving this problem happened to be easy. Reload from before conversation with Voerman and do quest straight, without sightseeing of dreamland. I thing this prevents 'edicts' from origination in multiple numbers.

"no_free_edicts" error means that map is overloaded with entities or their parameters exceeded engine's text data limits. To fix that, the large maps needed to be divided by two, or modder need to shorten entity number and/or its parameters contents.
