I hope so! Someone on GameBanshee is already there and he didn't mention any frozen NPCs.

Try deleting the la_hub_1.ain and la_hub_1.loc files in maps/graphs before you leave the Confession.

Well the trick didn't work(deleting those files), but I was able resolve the issue(pretty much killed her right there in the club and nobody notesed). But I would like to let you know about a bug(I don't if you are one making the unofficial patches, atleast you are posting them). I had almost completed the quest in Hollywood where I'm supposed kill that blond vampire hunter in SIN BIN. I've already killed her and I was on my way to Velvet, when I decided to visit ASP HOLE and did the Ash Escort quest(through the sewers). Then when I returned from the sewers and visited Velvet, the dialog option to tell her that I'd completed the job didn't appear.

Well I did solve the problem by reloading older save game. First visited Velvet told about the blond hunter and then Escorted Ash out of Hollywood.

I just thought you should know.

Strange. Could you open the console and tell me what results "G.Velvet_Hunter" and "G.Velvet_Quest" give?

I've got a similar bug- after I come to Downtown from Santa Monica all NPC are just frozen there. Tried ai_disable 0, reinstalling the game as well as deleting the above mentioned files, nothing helps sad

I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried returning to Santa Monica and going back, as well as simply reloading my last save before visiting Downtown for the first time but to no effect. The NPCs are still frozen.

I recently installed the game (first time on this install of Windows) and applied the 6.7 patch. The only other thing I've done to the installation is attempt to use the resolution patcher, although that didn't seem to do anything.

The only way I could get it to fix (i.e. deleting the la_hub_1.ain and la_hub_1.loc files) was go to a Savegame before I entered Downtown for the first time.

Lol, I sort of like it, the AI isn't really the brightest light of the game. tongue

ahh ! i remember something about this, I used it once, though my plan was stopping a few npc, but i ended up stopping everyone in the whole map. i think in your case is a glitch that activates "disable_ai" and everyone will just assume its primary form and they wont move around. though that was what happened to me, since i made it happen on purpose but i dont know if you will be able to to enable it manually again trough the console. but you will find it if you.

but i am 60-70 percent sure that you or a mod or something activated the "disable_ai" control, and when you moved back from the map save game you also deleted the actual point in which you have had triggered it !

Mv.c9 that doesn't seem to work at least on mine, this seems to be more a Pathing issue.

The AI is active in Interaction Dialog but not in Movement and if I, ai_disable then the AI doesn't/can't even Interact in Dialog, which it currently can.

This is happening on my game as well. I noticed on one reload that when I take the taxi to Downtown I get a message towards the middle right of the screen showing "AI Disabled..." as soon as the downtown map loads.

I've been unable to replicate that since seeing it once, though. sad

I've tried deleting the la_hub_1.ain and la_hub_1.loc files then loading a savegame in Santa Monica and taking a taxi back to downtown, but no luck.

I'm not too clear on the console commands to disable and enable the ai, but I have tried the ai_resume command with no success.

Using the picker command shows affected NPC's as having the SCHED:
 SCHED_TROIKA_WALK_TO_INTERESTING_PLACE_FAILED

Their task hovers at Idle, then briefly flashes through:
 SCHED_TROIKA_WALK_TO_INTERESTING_PLACE

I'm no modder, but as near as I can tell they seem to be having a pathfinding error instantly when trying to path to the "interesting places" nodes on the map.

It isn't happening on other maps, just downtown.

I am running under a fresh Bloodlines install. Then patched to 6.7. Then loaded P&P mod version 2.275.

Update:Re-extracting the default la_hub_1.ain from pack007.vpk and overwriting the existing one corrected this problem.

i just registered to confirm deleting the  la_hub_1.ain and la_hub_1.loc files works.

just turn off the game, delete those files, run the game, and load a save game prior to the problem

SWEET! Extracting a copy of la_hub_1.ain from pack007.vpk certainly did the trick -- I didn't even have to load an old save file.

As a note, I found (when my game was still broken two or three minutes ago) that deleting la_hub_1.ain and thus forcing the game to produce a new one, generated a 117 byte file or so.  The one from the VPK is 100kb.

This will work, but you will loose any fixes done to the downtown level like the Beckett "wait" bug fix or the new posters in the Nosferatu haven.

Yes, because the levels themselves are slightly different.
