                I know it hasn't been a long time since 4.0, but it seems I accidentally broke Romero's quest while making him return to the cemetery afterwards, also there is some confusion because at the moment the unofficial patch and the "true" patch have too similar version numbers. So for a quick fix to both issues download the latest version 4.1 from http://www.Patches-Scrolls.de  in a little while or right now from:

 Prevented Humanity from reaching zero and removed loss for pendant.
 Fixed parking garage exchange and removed gum when sold to Copper.
 Corrected a Vandal condition and several similar dialogue problems.

 Wesp you're killing me.  I havent even started playing 4.0 yet.  I think you're painting the sistine chapel.  It started off as a portrait of twelve apostles and turned into a 19 year painting of the book of genisis.

 I know happy . But it seems as if I broke a quest in 4.0 and I wouldn't let that stand. On the other hand I don't expect people to play again with each new patch but finish other games in between and then come back some releases later. Except for a few guys like Acleacius who manage to finish the game even in the shortest patch cycles, but not between 4.0 and 4.1 I guess wink ...

 Anyway, coincidentally a retail version I ordered online came through the post today, so I will be installing this version to see if it corrects the other issues I had with the D2D version.

 I'm amazed that you're still doing this, and amazed at the results, and exceptionally grateful. This oft-maligned game is continually refreshed by your efforts, making me even more eager to play it once again.  No. The above was an error where clans without Dominate got a Dominate line instead of the Persuasion line. I checked your problem with the seductive feeds in the Asylum and the game did not crash for me although I drank from both women...

     You can definitely install this on top of 4.0 but some people claim that using an older saved game may mess up the gameplay with all people on hubs turning into vampires and similar. I still would continue the game and only restart if something like that happens. And it would be cool if you could give some feedback if it works out fine happy !

     I may be getting ahead of myself here, as I'm still downloading the patch, but isn't there an e-mail saying that "they're out upstairs" or something like that regarding the morphine?

     Continuing with 4.0
     New developments regarding the Dialogue Fix, but apparently they have been broken all this time.
     The game is designed to require NPCs to complete dialogues, if they don't they just get stuck and stand in place,
     so by fixing the dialogues, your allowing them to complete as was originally designed.
     The AI routines are now kicking in allowing them to get to their destinations or to start patroling, which had NEVER worked before, Woot! happy
     Leopold is where at least 5 examples of this can now be seen. happy

     Giovanni, noticed the dogs are gone, I had problems with them I never posted.
     I used a range Discipline like Vision of Death they died (couldn't target them any more) but they kept walking around tongue
     
     Oh and speaking of dogs, you scared the crap out of me in the junkyard. tongue
     I never really look behind but I had on Auspex and looked behind me as I chased the serial killer and saw these 2 glowing Red Auras in the fenced area!  
     
     I kept expecting to see them breakout out and chase me, any chase to do that, it could really freak people out? wink
     Could maybe wait till the player gets around the first corner and hear a crash and barking dogs.
     
     Noticed something strange have seen before in Leopold (Ash level) there were broken crates many places even in the water, was this an added effect or some weird anomaly?
     
     Hollowbrook, in the big room(ballroom) where the 3 sabot spawn, then turning left out of that room, then right once door explodes open, then again right once the next door explodes open, in this room there are 2 guys normally and one that spawns when the door explodes open.
     The guy on the right in the back as you enter, this is the guy you mentioned had some resistances to Disciplines.
     So I gave up using Vision of Death and used the Desert Eagle and with a Ranged skill of 10, he only took 30 points with a point blank headshot, most all take about 60 to 75 with the DE.
     So is this grunt really spose to be SUPER vampire, with at least 50% resist on Disciplines and Guns?  happy
     
     Oh, I noticed that Bertram had a computer hack terminal screen, what about activating his computer to be hacked with a 10 skill during Blood Hunt, since he is gone? happy
     The gate would need to be made pick able.
     
     It would be really cool if you could add some neat info about our character.
     Maybe regarding being framed or how the Nossies know, about Lacroix's deal with the Kuei jin or finding out something about Sarcophagus or Caine?
     Seems I nice spot to add a 10 lock pick and hack for interesting information regarding the end game. happy

     You are right, but that was sometimes in the past as both people involved in the emails are not at the clinic at the time the game is playing. So they might have stocked up again.

     No, because they don't do any damage when attacking which was the main reason I moved them in the first place.

     That was probably the result of the rockets on the palettes going off. It didn't happended to me when I tested it yesterday so either it was random or you somehow triggered the AI which shot the crates...

     There is already a terminal file for this pc but it makes only sense at the start of the game. I restored it for 4.2! Thanks for the reminder! I will also try to restore unused emails from not implemented computers to used ones...

     This is in fact the chewing gum, because I needed a hard-code recognized object and the attack of the grenade does not work in the first place.
     
     


     Also found another Respawner active at Giovanni, it's in that first room where we spawn, when entering from the outside at the front door.

                    Aggressive, the bodyguard respawns in the reception room (the room with the two doors for Giovanni corridors and one door for outside of the mansion). I think that it's necessary for him to respawn, just to represent the bodyguards outside. Although it may be a little overused after Bruce (am I right about his name?) Giovanni is killed.
     
     BTW, there is no way getting no aggressive condition in the Giovanni mansion and taking someone out, because once you attack or kill someone (even in stealth mode) the room clears and all the bodyguards shoot on sight, Bruce Giovanni smashing the doors happen only when aggressive mode is activated and positioned in the center-hall range (he doesn't smash the doors when on the balcony/stairs, for example).

     Ahh, I would have voted for your original idea of Jack giving the gum as an Intimidation +1 stat item.
     I thought you said you were going to use the Grenade as the Intimidation item, that's why you just made the Gum a prop for Coop, oh well. sad

     That was my problem with it, after all the guards and Bruno are dead, they keep coming out.

     That's not exactly how it works for me, but for the most part it IS the problem, I have while trying to deal with the Super Vamps on the sides.
     
     You can in fact kill 2 guards, currently and not be KoS when you return to the main room to start conversations, which is usually how I like to do it.
     First you can kill the guard in the main hall where spawn in by feeding, with no repercussions, second is the guard in bed with the hooker/blood-doll, first hall to the right, and then I used to take out the two side guards with Vision of Death and return to the main room to start talking.
     Now I can't do that anymore as the two side guards, as Made in China points out no matter what you start aggressive mode, well I could use the 10 Vision of Deaths but that seems so unbalanced.  sad
     
     Another weird effect is Berserk, the more powerful Vision of Death, but the damn AI activates (wrongly) if used on a side guard, a female came running in the hall, through locked doors (left side, if facing Bruno's door, from the main entrance).
     He should remain non aggressive unless someone is in range for his fov, but when she runs in he starts shooting and blows the whole stealth deal.
     Even if you have the Bush hook, with Strength 10 and Melee 10, you can kill him in 1 hit, but this too activates aggressive mode.
     The side guard super vamps don't respond in the same way as all the other guard AIs, in the whole game.

     Not that we misunderstand us here: I meant do they spawn in the version of the map where you entered without alerting the guards outside? In the other map I just can't find another working spawner right now...

     That can't be. They share the same stattemplate as the main hall vampire guards. But I noticed that one of the side guards belonged to the main hall squad, so maybe that would automatically alert the latter. I changed that and will test it this evening.
     
     Also regarding the Hallowbrook supervamp, what weapon and what disciplines is he using? Is it reproducable? Because there is no one more resistant there than the fire mage and the LaSombra women.

     Ok, I always play it the same way and the house never goes aggressive until I start killing in the main room, since I use Stealth on the guards outside the house.
     Once inside I kill the guards outside the main room, then returning to the main room which are still non-aggressive and begin quest.
     Once quest is complete I start attacking from the top of the stairs, innocents flee, I kill Bruno and guards.
     This is the time the respawner in the main entry starts, after all guards inside and outside are dead, as I am moving to the room with the book and secret passage.

     Ok, I will double check, I have 4.1 installed, beginning another game and here's an example of what I mean.
     Iirc, all guards when Hysteria is cast on them will become alerted/aggressive and look around after Hysteria wears off, not these guys they don't move from that spot unless the whole house is in aggressive mode.

     It's the medium sized room directly behind the big ballroom where the three LaSombra women spawn.
     I Stealth kill the three LaSombra women, so I don't know about their resistances.
     It's nigh impossible to get to the super vamp due to the bug/limitation in Obfuscate.
     This allows grunts and other Sabat to see through level 5, which I don't think is normally possible, which is why as a Malk I tried to go with the range Discipline, which takes 10 Vision of Death and I finally tried DE headshots.
     
     Maybe these LaSombra types have inherently different AI, to prevent Stealth like the Sabot seeing through Obfuscate, to prevent making it through the game without having to kill much?

     Maybe your right about Copper, that is a lot of cash to get, so maybe getting the Humanity hit is away to balance that out some, with the gum now it’s $560.
     It seems like a lot of cash, but your giving up the blood, which would make it almost impossible for a Ventrue to do this quest-line, but they start with and get more money from LaCroix, iirc.
     
     Would you explain to me how the new Morphine is meant to work, are you just adding a new bottle in the locked cabinet or did you mean to move the 3 from the desk?
     There are now 2 different passwords, to hack the CS Cabinet, one before the Werewolf Blood and one once the Werewolf Blood quest begins.
