Some nice texture work Ian. I must confess I don't know as much of WoD as you do but new textures are nice all the same. I have to ask why X20? I know the 20 is following the new editions i.e. V20, W20 etc. but why X20?

So I've replaced it with the V20 symbol, as seen throughout Vampire's 20th Anniversary Edition. So far just on the main HUD UI, but I'll be tweaking other appearances, like the loading screens, as well.

I know it's closer to silver than the previous brass, that's intentional. Preparing for later changes. Still toying around with relative brightness and such.

Ian dude, that is awesome!! Love seeing new huds and I never noticed the Giovanni symbol before, you have a high Perception, lol.

Think of the X as a variable, like in algebra. Easier just to say "X20" than "the 20th Anniversary Editions of all the World of Darkness games."

Once you start to see it...

(And I didn't mark the ones on the loading bar at the bottom either)

Given the reddish colour used for them on the loading screen, I suspect Troika used it because it sort of implies a rose? I don't know.

Glad you're enjoying it. :)

Offhand, I don't suppose anyone knows where to find the star layer of the skybox, do they? I've found the cityscapes, various clouds, and the moon, but can't find the stars.

Note the circles at the bottom right and left used to display the weapons and Disciplines.

I never thought the background to be the Giovanni symbol, rather a kind of rose made of blood splatters :)!

You should be aware that there are two more iterations called leftselecthighlight.ttz and rightselecthighlight.ttz for switching the mouse wheel selection.

It's funny because I've been reskinning those little Giovanni Rose icons for the past several days, making them no longer stretched for TFN 1.5 HD, and never realized what they were this whole time, Hahaha!!

Which skybox are you looking for with the stars? I looked at several of the hub skyboxes and one of them had stars baked into the skybox itself, then clouds roll around in front of it. I forgot which skybox hub it was though.

Thanks! I just looked those up, and unless I'm missing something, they appear to be the border around the circle rather than the inside of the circle. Not going to change those yet, but thanks. :) I do have plans for the health and blood bars as a whole, and those are on the list.

Well, if you need to (re)build your own, I'm sure you already know where to find the source images, given the updated clan graphics you put together for TFN. :)

I think Hollywood's the one with the visible stars. They seem to twinkle, so I figured it was a separate layer, but I could be wrong.

I think Hollywood sounds right. I thought the stars in Hollywood were baked into the skybox, but then there was a separate skybox for the fog and stuff. I could be wrong, I'll need to double check that.

As far as the icons go, thanks for that link. After reviewing them, I was wondering if you thought perhaps replacing the current TFN Serpentis snakes, which I borrowed from Razor logo, should be replaced with the Vampire: Eternal Struggle snakes logo instead. I always thought using the Razor logo was kind've cheesy, and the Eternal Struggle logo is similar but more VtM appropriate. Your thoughts on that?

I seem to recall having suggested exactly that several years ago, but can't find the post where I did. So yes, I think it's a great idea. ;)

"Local Paper Sensationalizes Fact." Previously seen in the ticket booth at Confession and taped to the wall in Simon Milligan's.

"Downtown Angel Quells Riots." A subject potentially of interest to both a converted church and to the host of Haunted LA.

As covered in Demon: The Fallen's City of Angels, in 2002, two Earthbound (powerful demons not tied to individuals) Dagon and Manishtusu, and their followers were in LA, ostensibly looking for Lucifer. Although the two are on opposing sides, Belial approaches both of them, letting them know he'll help, and just to keep an eye out for his sign.

His sign, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake, strikes in the middle of rush hour on Devil's Night, October 30th, 2002.

As the demons' followers rush into action, rioting spreads throughout the city for days. Police are powerless, the governor calls a state of emergency, the National Guard are brought in, and still nothing seems to be able to stop the riots.

Until November 3 when briefly, above a plaza near city hall, an angel appears in the sky before a crowd of about a thousand, and caught on cameras from nearly all the national networks. Demons watching instantly recognize the angelic apparition as Lucifer. As quickly as he appears, he vanishes. Everyone seems to come to their senses, and the rioting dies down. An upswelling of faith has temples, mosques, and churches reporting numbers they haven't seen in decades.

The event comes to be known as the Devil's Night Riots.

And hey, we're just about at the second anniversary of that, aren't we...

You probably did and I probably had no idea what you were talking about and didn't bother to follow up with you on it, Haha! But okay, great, I'll get started on it right away!! :)

This is possibly the best screenshot I've ever done to showcase a change.

Blink and you'll miss it.

The Laibon are a collective of bloodlines -- they call themselves "legacies" -- from Africa. It's theorized that they're ancient offshoots from the normal Clans. But who can say how true that is? Maybe it's the other way around.

The Naglopers are the Laibon equivalent of the Tzimisce. Given his demonstrated abilities of Animalism (during the tutorial) and Vicissitude (at the end), the Sheriff is almost certainly one of them.

I've etched their symbol into his sword.

'He's been completely decapitated', I doubt anyone will know what that's a reference to but oh well. Pretty nifty addition to the sword there.

The Sheriff looks better than the drawing of the Nagloper on White Wolf wiki but then again I ain't particularly impressed with any of the Legacy drawings. The symbol for the Ishtarri is pretty nice though.

Lots of little titbits I see your working on Ian. I'd much like to see it when its done. I'll properly do a pick and mix of what I like from the new textures myself.

A Christmas Carol goes Wrong. A group of performers 'hijack' a performance of a Christmas Carol. Its performed as live but I don't think it necessarily was but it may have been. One of the performers wants to be Scrooge but isn't, the guy playing Scrooge says 'he'd have to be completely incapacitated to back out now'. The guy who wants to be Scrooge spends most of it trying to in various ways make it impossible for the guy playing Scrooge to continue, often with the line 'he's been completely incapacitated'.
