Hi everyone! Recently I have started experiment of porting old original game of 2004 into VR enviroment of HL:Alyx 2020


As you can see - I've made a few succesfull model porting, and now you can actually touch jeanett


Also, I have discovered, that we can actually transit whole maps from old game, to this enviroment, so technically we can actually play some small part of old game in VR

Some screenshots of the ported map would be nice.
Also, in the video you posted animation seems to play too fast and her skirt seems to be broken.

Still, it is nice to see stuff like this. :)

ya, that's her skirt animation in original game is not 'animated', but physically emulated, which means it only can be fixed when we add physics at example map

All I am saying is, it looks weird and wrong. It doesn't represent how good it would have looked in Source 2, which is supposed to be the entire point of the video.

well, it is actually a reason, why  I have come to this forum :)

This modification is developing throught Bloodlines SDK, so it's probably best result, which we could make using community tools itself - so yes, it is possible, but I should remember, that we try to transit game from 2004 year into 2020, and there are some bugs with Bloodlines SDK which doesn't export some things properly.


I've heard, that Bloodlines SDK has been developed here, so I decided to ask help for fixing these weird things  :razz:



If someone interested in contributing help -- then I could provide more info about weird places and how we can fix them
