Another of my failed tests, I hope somebody will solve the riddle....

This time I've integrated the chunk of code into the map files, I felt even if it didn't worked someone might find useful to have all the maps already fixed. Extract the archive on top of a fresh install of the final UP 10.6 and try by yourself to find out where is the problem. I've also included some testing dlg for the companions I wanted to use (Tourette, Killer, Romero, VV, Yukie, Barabus and Pisha). I hope this time someone will make it work once for all.

Nothing new: still trying to update this forsaken mod. Still giving up after I did all I could and still giving another chance months later.

Knowing nothing of Python I thought maybe someone else can help me and see where is the damned problem. But you have already your mod on the work and I don't want to steal your time....

One problem I know of is fileutil.py. Every function in this script checks if the file to manipulate is located in a subdirectory of /vampire. So if you use the mod with mod loader in its own directory every file operation will be terminated with an error.
Then there are the dialogs. Dheu has set some special starting conditions. These call some script but I don't remember what this is supposed to do.
There are probably other things to consider, too. Like every map needs some npc entities plus I think a timer or trigger in order to place the companions.
Dheu uses some item to allow players without dominate, dementation or presence to manipulate possible companions. This item slot may or may not be used for something different in the patch.

1. fileutil.py should be fixed since I used the pythons from Antitribu
2. dlg files are already fixed
3. I've already patched all the maps (except for some where companions shouldn't appear)
4. Yes, one item but if the condition is not present in the dlg file you don't need it

Whenever I try to use the dialog line to make a companion nothing happens, neither the dialog change to the companion menù or a desktop crash.
