Since there hasn't been an update in a while I thought I should upload some new screenshots. What you can see here is a level with a very special game mechanic. As you make your way through the basement of this hospital you'll be haunted by horror visions. From a level designer's perspective this means that the same map basically exists twice and the player is teleported back and forth. This all happens seamlessly. The two worlds will blend right into each other when a vision starts.
What you see is all work in progress, of course. Hope you like it.

Fun little game. I miss a hub, but it's good to have more completely new stories.
I honestly burn out in playing more mods that just mod the clans and add a quest or two, no matter how professionally done it is (lately, i tried the final nights, which has pretty cool new clans and disciplines, but when i realized it has exactly 4 new - simple - quests - 2 in LA and 2 in santa monica - that reuse all the same locations and the main new elements are intimidation for stealing, hacking for stealing and no new areas i kind of lost interest when i realized the main quests would be the exact same).

I have to try the sabbat path in the new CQM and the WW2 mod. I'm a bit sad that the CQM is still using the old UP with the models and animations with problems from before they were fixed by you excellent modders.

I believe more modders should not fear to release mods without voice acting for new npcs, or even old ones. If it's a completely new story even better because it will not have dissonance when the voice acting disappears.

Yes, Prelude I is very linear, I can't deny that. It had to be this way, since the story has to play out exactly like that. There'll be a hub in Prelude II and Prelude III, complete with a vendor, a club, and other new locations.
For a quick look at some new levels in Prelude II you can go to ModDb:

I uploaded some screenshots there, too.

I can definitely recommend CQM! It's the best mod I've played so far. WW2 is a mod I've yet to try, but I'd like to wait until it's complete.

While I'm here I might as well write a few sentences about the development of Prelude II. All the maps are playable. We'll soon have a playable alpha build, but unfortunately without dialogs. Opinions on what should be covered in certain dialogs differ among the team (Wesp and me, lol). As a non-native speaker I have a hard time writing believable lines for NPCs, old ones and new ones alike. It can be quite frustrating. I know how a given character is supposed to behave and act, but it takes ages for me to come up with lines that actually fit.

Curious about something, to see if it's a bug or just a narrative.
The hunter you can ask to teach you (either to dodge or brawl not sure what) 'in the next morning' is supposed to activate after the cremation or was he one of the ones cremated and the player is grieving a dot of stats too?

He probably died, at least we never added a training session ;).

I guess you plan to add it? Or cut this option? If possible, do special place for it and create an improvise like "a little sparring with your friend hunter". Fight with him to low health and gain your up Melee or Brawl feat.  Why not? =)

I'm fine with closure and he's dead, just to show not all things work out, but there has to be some indication (presumably in a dialog with someone) about it for the non-perceptive players and for the perceptive ones not to feel unsatisfied with the feedback).
Or maybe it's classier this way... actually a dialog feels kind of corny because people would have better things to talk about than 'oh he regularly pummeled us in training', i just don't have a good explicit alternative.

There is always a 'failed quest' but knowing gamers they'd REEEEE in white hot rage about a quest that you auto fail without being able to do anything about it.

We never wasted any thoughts about that, it's more like small talk between the hunters.
