I'm not sure I understand, you do make a NPC hostile using Hammer. I added a screenshot of doing this. In the example when the generic NPC is damaged Skelter will become hostile to the player. The override parameters are typed in by hand, not selected from a drop down menu, so you either need to use Dheu's document or the Valve developer Wiki to find the parameters to enter.

Oh, gods, I just needed to look into the dialogues and seen the "relationship" there.  :rofl:
So, instead of hating the player, I write the name of the NPC that I want to be killed and that's it. And this method is work for me. But I'll also continue to deal with the scenes, because this is quite an interesting thing...

Yes, you can change the relationship with any character, even you can define a squad and change it for all. (squads and teams are in the charcater properties), this is the way that devs made the fighting gangs in downtown...
