new histories mod!

so i took some advice from mvc9 and decided to start small. i am in the middle of  writing and programing new historties.  heres is a sample of what is to come

Christoff romuld bloodline (brujah only) basicall your grand sire was cristoff romuld, you start the game with a huminty of ten but are prone to frenzy more (-2 frenzy check)

Mortal descendant of Dracula (any clan)  3 points to melee, 3 points to subterfuge, 3 points to appearence,
cant think of a weakness at the time if any1 has any ideas im willing to hear it

Tiger blood! (males only,all clans except tremere and nosferatu) basically you are the living imbodiant of charlie sheen, you get extra vitae from females, you  throw up blood when you drink from males, you start with three points in appearance and intimidation but you can never raise your humanty above 6, you are a dick after all.

professor of the occult( tremere only, both sexes)  the , pursuit of arcane knowledge is your passion thats what led your sire to you, always looking in the dark asking the questions all others dared not to, you are seen to be a promising young tremere indeed, the council has agreed for you to be sired, without the princes knowledge  you start out with three points in all mental stats and purchasing them costs less xp, while purchasing physical stats is much more difficult.  thaumaturgy costs less , and you cant raise your appereace above a 2, who cares about looks when you have power!
 
of the gypsy clan (gangrel only) you are the mortal descendant of the gangrel antideluvian, your protean and animalism cost less to raise, but being a gypsy lack the stats in mental pursuits so raising them costs more, but on the other hand, covert and haggle  stats cost less to raise too!

anne rice routine (toreador only) your of a unique bloodline whose name is lost to the ages, the other licks call you the anne rice fags, and with good reason. you are good looking, starting out with an appearance of 5,  you are powerful, all disiplines start out at three and cost less to raise, and you start out witha max humaity of ten, the major downside, you have horrible guilt over feeding off the living, every time you feed from a mortal you throw up their bloood, and loose one point of humanity. at a humanity rating of zero though you can feed on whoever you like being able to retain the devoured blood, you gain extra nourishment from less potent blood, such as from blood bags, and rats, yes you feed on rats just like louis and lestat!

vigilante- (brujah and gangrel only) in life you were ordianry, than tradgedy struck, your spouse and children were taken from you during a gang war, caught in the crossfire. you have survivors guilt, why them and not you? as a mortal all you could do is drink your pain away with booze, but it all changed the night you met your sire, they gave you the gift of caine, seeing your curse as a blessing you use ure new found powers to exact vengence on all crimanls. you get extra viate from gangmembers, the tong, and the mafia, you can drain them dry and you will never loose an ounce of humanity because those fucks were evil and desrved it, on the downside though you can never raise your humanity over 5, loosing your family took away half of who you were, and the beast now fills that void!

boy wizard(male tremere) harry potter references

Team edward( twilight fans, toreador male only ) your seduction is maxed out and so is your celerity, being a twlight fan has made you the perfect specimine for vampirism, the only problem is you tend to frenzy more and feeding from humans willingly or unwillingly can induce that frenzy,rat and bagged blood for you my sparkly friend!

Team jacob ( gangrel male only)you also enjoy the twilight books, but your more of a werewolf person, being part man, part wolf, an anfiinty with nature, being a babe  magnet, this is your dream and during the embrace it has manifested even though you are not a werewolf you are of clan gangrel the next best thing, you start out with max protean, max animalism, and max appearence, but tend to frenzy more because of your animal nature. -4 frenzy check
note hate twilight just thought it would be fun to throw those two in there.

IMO, most of your suggestions are heavily overpowered. A lot of advantages for next to no real hindrances. Be especially careful with advantages in disciplines.

And I really don't understand what you mean by "mortal descendent of..."
Vampires' bodies are dead!!! So even if they do fuck, there will certainly be no offspring.

@Malkav: Could have been born before the Vampire was turned, then embraced by their 'biological sire' = )   Might break some canon behind some of those characters.

I like these ideas; they all seem fun! Although, even though you noted your dislike of Twilight, I share your disgust, and would advise against indulging the fans, even in the slightest = p

It sounds like you've got a handle on what you're trying to do, but if you need tips, there's another histories mod out there you could look at for clues on how to accomplish this stuff.

And here too! Just use the edit option to fix those errors after you posted. It surely makes a better impression!

As for the histories, if you want to include the Twilight references, don't make them maxed out from the start. Instead make them get female seduction much easier :)!

thanks guys lol what i meant by mortal descendant is that when the vampire was human they had offspring
and generation( human generations) later you were born


and burgermeister yeah if i could see that, that would be awesome

thanks for comments and lol about twilight i mean i like all vampire stuff i mean the Anne rice vampires are cool because they defined there powers and myths  but they were a kinda to limp in the wrist as one might say and the twilight films, well i can understand the whole tortured thing i mean i am a fan of Buffy/ angel / being human, but they completely ruined it by A making it a teen heartthrob chick flick  and b by making the vampires sparkle

Define, 'healthy criticism' please. I am assuming you mean constructive criticism. Hopefully you don't mean, 'anything I take offence to'. Firstly the histories don't tie into the background lore of Masquerade like the histories provided by mods and restored by the UP. However since I take it you wish to make them parodies of pop-culture vampires, this could work. The mechanics of the histories should give 'flavour'. By this I mean they should impact the player's character sheet in a meaningful way, with an advantage being offset by a disadvantage, so nothing is 'overpowered'. For example, your Team Jacob history concept has no disadvantage. In unmodded Bloodlines, Frenzying is actually an advantage since a Gangrel gets +5 Physical Attributes during it. Perhaps something like:

Team Jacob
[Insert Description]
You start out with an extra level of Protean and Appearance. Animalism also costs less experience to raise (4, 8, 12, 16). However this focus on flash and flair to impress the ladies makes you something of a glass cannon. Fortitude (7, 14, 21, 28) and Stamina (6, 12, 18, 24) cost more experience to raise. Additionally you may never raise Intelligence above 3.

Another example of a retool idea:

De Point du Lac Routine (Anne Rice Routine)
[Insert Description]
You are so in love with the notion of Humanity that your penalty to losing Humanity is changed to 3 per infraction. Additionally you may not raise Humanity without spending experience. To compensate, you are more efficient when feeding off of vermin. Blood gained from vermin restores 2 blood points for every 1 drained. Also you learn from your experiences more, so for every gain of experience that is 3 or more you gain an additional point of experience.

i like what you did with the team jacob idea so i will use it if you allow me and i shall credit you in the readme

also with the point du lac routine im gonna chnage the name to the anne rice routine reffering to the episode of buffy "school hard" when spike inquires angels feeding habits
but yes can i also use the desxription as welll? same as before with the read me

im also gonna add the vomit part but on only if you drain them dry. and once you get to 0 humanity you can feed on whoever you like with no penalties


Ice btw if you wanna be a part of the mod i wouldnt mind having a co writer?
