Really like it, absolutely in-character and goth in contrast with her original outfit that only has a goth-like make-up, otherwise more resembles a naughty high school girl from a porn movie.

Oh geez, I'm floored that you'd ask me to share it ;_; I honestly didn't expect that. I uploaded it to moddb here: https://www.moddb.com/games/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines/addons/herekittykitty

Yay, thanks! Looks great in game too.

And strange moons circle through the skies,
But stranger still is

Yeah I keep a bunch of save games mostly in front of npcs so I can view them directly in their "natural habitat"  but the viewer is an awesome tool too!

Whoops, was under the impression you needed suggestions! Yep, it's one of my favorite tools. I can't believe I used to mod without it.

Would you mind re-uploading it, Viatrixa? I'd like to try it, but I can't open it, though I've downloaded it a few times. If anyone else had trouble with the file initially, how'd it work out? I can open my other .rar files just fine.

One could look at the Bloodlines modding community and say the last thing we need is more reskins of the female Malk, Jeanette, and Heather, but I always want to see more! The UV mapping on the fem Malk is such a headache. Good luck!

Worked for me, extracted fine, a test in Winrar (v5.61) yields no errors. However, file names are blue, which means they have an "NTFS compressed" attribute set. Probably, the culprit is this? The other possible reason, this is a RAR 5.0 format archive, not 4.0. Some third-party archivers do not support 5.0 yet.

Yeah, there's a ton of Jeanette reskins, but the most of them either simple original texture improvements or total overhauls, often not in Bloodlines style, while yours fits the narrow niche in-between, an attempt to re-implement the original idea in a better way.

Thanks, I think that was the problem.

I hope you got it to work! I just compressed them regularly with the rar tool - no clue if I should have ticked an option somewhere.

Sadly, I know there are all too many re-skins of the lady malk but for some reason I just enjoy playing through the game as her. I do admit the game did a very poor job of depicting malks, making them extremely fishy and just plain goofy at times; nothing wrong with a pinch of humour but... yeah. I play a malk in the tabletop campaign I'm in and she's actually a very sad character; that having said she has served our players with some funny moments.

If I manage to nail this skinning thing down I'll probably attempt to do something for the brujah gal as well, and perhaps the gangrel.

For now I wanna see if I can pull off a decent deathrocker look for the fem malk. (man I wish I could give her a big old deathawk!)

My next project was a punk girl for the daughters of cacophony/malks :)

I did get it to work, yes! Jeanette's dead this playthrough (!!), so I'll have to interact with her my next game. :)

Oh, I hope it didn't seem like I was making fun of you. I meant it! I'm always excited for new skins of anything, and I've never found a Malkavian set I really like. The fem Malk is one of my top choices, too. I've even got a (silly) armor set planned for her myself. I'd like to see what you do for the Brujah and the Gangrel.

(I hope you didn't mind, I was working on this occasionally for a long time and recently I found out how to do it)

OH PLEASE DO!!! I'd love that! PM me if you'd like!

@ vampire_nonsense Oh I didn't think that at all! I do agree there are generally too many malky reskins though. I guess liking the Malks in bloodlines is a bit like having a troublesome favorite child.  :chinscratch:

Edit: I have to mention it, I actually for some odd reason have a LOT of trouble with the malk's ponytail. I changed it's color and it kept giving me strange gaps between the strands of hair. Any suggestions how to fix this, other than to draw the gaps in?

Ha! Pretty accurate.

I was looking through the thread again and do you know how taken aback I was to realize you were using a couple other skins of mine (room divider and heartbed) in the Asylum apartment?  My jaw literally dropped. I can't believe I didn't recognize my own stuff for so long.

It happens with the vanilla skin, too, right? It sounds like that one, which seems to be a problem with the model rather than the texture. Just loading up one solid color on the model shows the same gap.

YEAH! It's there on the vanilla skin too, there's a tear / gap in the middle of her ponytail in the back. Also the tips, which are currently giving me trouble. I'm trying to fix this just by drawing the gaps in and then maybe I can hopefully delete some of them and give the illusion of hair tips with transparency.

In the actual skin .tga  where you see the "transparency" pattern, there is literally nothing (I deleted parts of the image with the alphachannel active on all layers)  - so why it's suddenly solid is confusing to me. All I did to the ponytail was colorize it. This didn't happen with her fringes for example. I cut them into shape and colored them, and it worked just fine. Trying to currently ghetto fix it just by drawing in the strands of her so the gaps are filled and then manually adding in some spaces to create the illusion of hair tips on a pony tail.

And hell yeah  I love little details in games so I love using better looking skins for say, the heartbead or divider. They look really good man!

Please post advice if you master this because I have an armor set planned and I don't know if I can cope with the damn hair, man. The first time around I tried to do a pointed fringe like Lydia Deetz's, which was a mess. Of course I've never gotten the hang of hair textures anyway...

I'm obsessed with little details, too! That's why most of my skins are furniture and so on. :D Glad you like them!

OH DEAR LORD WHAT DID I DO????????????????????? Anyone have any ideas? I tried following the bump map tutorial to a T but even so this happened. The tutorial does instruct one to paint the parts black that you dont want shining and I did just that - so why is her entire head glossy as a toad's tongue? I must have made a wierd little mistake somewhere along the line but does anyone have any clue what this could have been? All I was trying to do is give some effects to her piercings and this happened :S
