  •                 Recently I've been trying to replace Heather's models with various other models in the game such as Jeanette and VV.  So I extract the files using the VPK Tool and after I extract the necessary .mdl files and rename the jeanette.mdl to heather.mdl or heather_goth.mdl i replace the original Heather file with the renamed Jeanette one.  I then start Bloodlines and everything loads correctly so I go up to my apartment and find that heather is now invisible, but she still exists because I'm able to kill her.  I searched around the forums to see what i was doing wrong but i couldn't find anything,so any help would be appreciated.

EDIT:  Ok i think I found the problem---I also have to extract the .vtx files but where can I find these

Extract everything in the same folder as the .mdl in the vpks. Replace and rename them all accordingly.

  •                 I made a yukie re-skin that I wanted to replace the Brujah femme with. It worked, but only problem is... When I put the yukie .mdl file into the femme brujah's model folder and rename it, it wont go to the brujah armor0 as I want it to, where I've replaced the .ttz and .tth, but the yukie npc-folder. So I have to put my skins into the yukiefolder instead of the brujah-folder. (And I think my backup for the brujah chic didn't work either... Must have changed it by misstake).

How do I make it use the brujah's armor0 folder instead?

For some reason my mind isn't working right now so I can't follow what you asked, but let me say this.

The mdl file has to point to it corresponding files under the material dir.  then all of the .vmt files in that dir must point back to your .mdl file in models.  Hope that helps.

I did the same with greywaste's yuki armor models.  He made it for malk only so I changed the files to point to a special yuki dir so I can the just change the clan file to which ever I want to use the model for.

You can try turfster's tool to re-direct where the model gets its textures from. You can't add new ones though - just replace the existing ones.
